NUFC - Bad Luck or Bad Management?
You don't have to be a UEFA coach to know if you play one way for a while that teams will try different ways to play against you. I'm a huge believer in last season the mix worked so well not because of great planning but more by chance.
we've had many discussions about this over here and nothing, so far has changed my mind. There was a lot of luck yes, but with some good players, a brilliant team spirit carried on from half way through our promotion season under Chris Hughton and all players giving their everything.
I can understand why some thought we had it made, those things above are what most fans expect at the very least from a team. For years fans around the country have been baffled by players not being interested. we've had hundreds of discussions on these forums alone as to its happening. Often citing bad managers/coaches, players getting too much money, players from abroad coming over without the famous British fighting spirit.
There is proof among past and present footballers that sometimes blame can be laid at some of those reasons above. Many know i'm losing interest in football as a whole due to the fans game being changed for the worse. I've said before i can't abide the cheating from players and managers alike.
Other reasons are players in general being branded as stars without having done anything and looking down on the paying customer. I dislike the press and how much say it has on the final league standings. if they want they can hound a manager out of a job or unsettle players when their favourite manager wants them to rock the boat for their own gain.
Television has brought more money into the game but is killing it in my eyes too. The latest sales figures to domestic and foreign tv companies is frightening. Why did it cost me over 900 quid to take my child to watch the games two years ago if the game is so rich, that's not even including travel, spending, programmes etc. How is all this money good for the fans i wonder when it does little for the man in the stand.
That brings me to the stadiums now. utter tosh, oh they look grand but are terrible. i don't have the time to list all that is wrong with these places but anyone who has been will know.
Back to our squad, i think teams have sussed us out, we have no plan b, our own players now wait for the likes of Ben Arfa to do the hard work as no one seems to know what to do or worse, have any interest.
That is down to bad management, bad motivation techniques, false promises to their own players about ambitions, failing to build on a good side, failing to know how to change a game, blah blah blah,
i could go on for hours but i'm only writing what i usually think you should all know. yes i think i'm right, i hardly get involved with football discussions nowadays because it bores me, i don't like banging my head against walls but i know, from talking about it away from the net that many people see it the same as me, and we don't make excuses for the management. so why do some of you?
