Wtf does Benitez do in training?
04 February 2018 16:07 Post ID: #488295
For such a tactical manager with so much attention to detail, I've never seen a worse team to watch. Before everyone starts blaming the players again - Burnley and palace are not much better but palace could and should have put at least 6 past us. It's every fucking game inviting teams on to attack us. Getting boring now and looking at the players not 1 of them seem to know their job. Wtf has happened Matt Richie? The way he's playing he shouldn't be anywhere near the starting 11. The decision making and basic errors by those players is shocking it's so bad you can't even blame lack of quality. It's common sense ffs. Fucking clueless from top to bottom

He gets a god awful championship side knowing their jobs and hanging in there at a level way above them, so far.

There's having a bad game then there's being absolutely shite in every single match. We can talk all day about how bad the players are but the rest of the teams around us at least put up a fucking fight. Take hughton for example who hasn't half the cv Benitez has but his team manages to put up a fight and I won't have anyone say Brighton are better than us in paper either. They're a he'll of a lot more organised than we are though

We don't have the players . We were a goal up in a tough match away from home . Did he tell Clark to pull the shirt ? Did he tell Shelvey to down tools for 20 minutes ? I'm not saying Rafa's blameless (what did he say at half time for the team to start the 2nd half so poorly, that screamed of Pardew more than anything, and why didn't we have a striker on the bench) but we were a goal up from a set piece something you could just as easily say is down to the manager.

Ritchie's lost form or is simply not as good in this league (maybe why Bournemouth let him go), it happens, he's also covering for Yedlin who's flakey at the back but still better than Manquillo, incidentally Zaha had a great game against both .

If you want to talk tactics answer this why on earth do we continue to launch the ball from the keeper to a frontline of Gayle and Perez?

Rafa can be petty. He's never forgiven M'bemba for the mistakes last season and he prefers to have a right foot left foot centre half partnership. Mbemba deserves more chances after his efforts as emergency left back.

That pettiness is proving to be a big deal keggy.

His organisational skills and tactical nous is there for everyone to see,it's just so fucking frustrating witnessing what his emotional decisions are costing the team in points.

Any other squad he had ,he inherited world class players and had money to spunk on new signings , with average players and no money he can’t get the best out of them or even set up a side to suit to utilise the best of what he has. Not a good manager at all, and a bit if a fraud, should stick to waiting on tables.

Cant agree with that CM you dont win CL finals just through luck, he is a proven manager but is constrained by the fat controller.

Far too many times over the years have we complained that we wanted a team to care and try, the lot we have now are right up there in regards to guts and effort but are lacking in quality.

We know how we can get that upgrade but it wont be on Ashley's watch and then we can see what can be achieved with the same tactics or training.

The biggest problem is the inability to get shots on target and having no threat in the air.
What is the point of putting in crosses to no one or punting goalkicks when you are not going to win the ball.
Shelvey, Richie, Gayle should be offering more of a goal threat but we have no proven Premiership goalscorers.
I don't blame Benitez for that although I think he errs on the side of negative on many occasions.
The failure to convert a single goal lead into more may well come back to haunt us because we are not going to gat away with desperate defending for too long.

But look at the squad of players he had at his disposal Bruce, I feel sorry for him not having any money to buy in two or three quality players. It’s exactky the same here but Rafa is a far better manager / coach than Moyes, I would have him here any day of the week.

Bobby Robson and Kevin Keegan aside who have we had better than Benitez ?

On the negative side he's by far the most effective stooge Ashley has employed to date, and that takes some doing.

It's credit to our owner that so many turn a blind eye to the even more blatant asset stripping Rafa's appointment has allowed him to inflict on our club.

Rafa has even said himself that he isn't a manager that likes to spend massive money and can turn in a profit if that's what's needed.

He did win the champions league with some poor players at Liverpool, but he had 2 or 3 world class players in the squad who could drag the rest through. Now he hasn't got 2 or 3 premiership class players. Agreed he is making life easy for Ashley, but I am convinced he will be straight out of the door once his "last year of contract" clause expires.

. Bruce, we both have owners that are cunts, it’s toxic here at the moment, all the money that is unaccounted for is only the tip of the iceberg, Moyes is off at the end of the season , players want out. Big March planned on the tenth of next month. As for Rafa his name has been mentioned as the next manager here, I doubt it very much.

If your owners offer him 4.1 millionit might well become a reality cm.

Rafa could spend his time counting the loot in your training ground instead of ours.

Just a little bit of background research on the Benitez family shows they are in this for anything but the money as their charity stuff shows.

Would Rafa sign an aged defender just because he was free? Somehow I don’t it. Moyes signed Patrice Evra today and the club are having talks with both Song and Nasri, Dads Army United coming to a ground near you.
