Consecutive 0-3 defeats in round 4 of the FA cup. Not our year yet again.

Chelsea were in 2nd gear and would have scored A few more if by some unlikely fluke we had scored.
Usual after match comments from Rafa, We were good for 30 mins then they scored and because we had to try and score we were exposed. The best we are going to get out of games against the better sides is a 0-0 draw and that's not likely with our defence.
We just do joy have an attack, top scorers have 4 goals, it's embarrassing.
Now wait for the window to close, really need a couple of good forwards, and then I wonder where we will be.
Up the creek is my guess.

At least you were knocked out a one of the top premiership clubs , unlike West Ham lol getting played off the park by a side two divisions below us.

The season ticket holders have accepted it though.

Very much like Brexit. It doesn’t matter how much you tell leavers how it is fucking the country, they’re stubborn in their ways.

Only when it all comes crashing down will they realise. There will be countless excuses from them along the lines. None of which will wash.

I keep thinking the wheels have just about fallen off Mike's gravy train and he somehow always seems to stick them on again. Not as you say PM helped by all these people who just won't stop going.

It really saddens me what they have done to our club and our football. Out of the FA cup and I am neither surprised or disappointed. We just keep on taking it in pursuit of premiership money that none of us will ever see a penny of. This game is fucked.

I can totally relate to those last two posts.

For the last several games, you just watch and see that every other team has a smattering of quality. We have Shelvey when he can be bothered and Merino when fit, otherwise a workmanlike squad needing investment.

The background of the takeover bid has made me focus on what the club is really worth. Having finished just ahead of Brighton last season, we are £40m behind them in squad development.

To think that in the Ashley era, we have 1 Premier League top half finish, 2 relegations and are yet to make the 5th round of the FA Cup.

From the start Ashley said I am not letting those Geordies run the club, I will do my own thing. This was heard in a pub.
He saw it as a potential money maker not as a football club, never interested in football. Surrounded himself withYes men after dumping any trouble makers.
Just considered it another business.
The club record since he took over apart from one flakey year is abysmal as his appointments have been.
Apart from Keegan, nobody has stood up to him, they have al gladly accepted the money, Benitex included.Hardly surprising the state we are in.

It still amazes me that old cunt SJH doesn't get grief, he admitted on TV that fatty told him he only wanted to buy the club to advertise his tatty SD brand yet SJH still went and sold it to him, so much for loving the club.

Nothing wrong with making money it's not a charity.
At least Sir John Hall put the best Newcastle team I have seen on the pitch.
Ashley has put rubbish on the pitch and still taken money out. Disgraceful

Agreed, Owl. When you think Hall took us from the bottom of the 2nd division to the Champions League, compare the stadium back then to what is there now, he invested to improve the club.

Where Hall went wrong was letting Shepherd do what he did. Without the sale, Hall's millions would have been worth bugger all.

It doesn't need to come crashing down, it was down already. I voted to leave and with good reason. If I thought you had the ability to listen, rather than 'tell people' I'd explain it to you. Even if I had voted leave for entirely selfish reasons I think I could justify it. I'm better off personally. Paid in RMB and it's doing well against the pound. Tell me if you will why I should give a flying fuck about 'the country' rather than my own personal interests. By my own personal interests I mean those of my immediate family. I take it as a given that if I'm doing ok out of it then they will gain along with me. Are you against Brexit for personal reasons in that it affects your family, or on behalf of the country as a whole. If the latter, then when did you start giving a fuck about anyone other than yourself? Get off your high horse and back to delivering cars or whatever the fuck it was you were doing while still pretending to be a solicitor.

Meanwhile, Ashley voted with his wallet, not to invest in sufficient talent ever to get back in to Europe.

OM I wish you would stop spoiling your arguments by yapping on about Brexit. You lost - get over it. We all know what we voted for and- despite what Islington lefties like to think - the vast majority of us would vote the same. Stick with the football man.
