Makes its debut in English footy tonight at the Brighton v Palace FA Cup game. This is a rather tasty game they have decided on to trial it in.

Not a fan of it yet and it will be interesting to see how it is used.

Opinions?

Will be interested to see how it develops it works in the NFL and rugby but those games are more stop start. Think the goal line technolgy has proven it can work but what happens will be interesting.

Australia uses this system and it has been farcical at times. Players making square box signals to ask the ref to review etc. I know it's not allowed in England. But even the VAR system has got decisions wrong. But it's a start I suppose. But the on field ref still has the last say

Just watching the Brighton game, when they scored the ref had to wait a minute or so for confirmation from control (50 miles away presumably London) that the goal was ok before he awarded it.

So much for that then, Murray’s winning goal for Brighton was put in off his arm. Ref didn’t bother going to the sideline and watching the video replay.

He would say this.

It went in off my knee - Murray
Brighton 2-1 Crystal Palace

Brighton & Hove Albion
Brighton match winner Glenn Murray speaking on BBC Radio 5 live: "Yes it did (go in off my knee), I know it looked like it flicked off my arm on the replays but it came off my knee."

(Was he expecting the goal to get refereed to VAR): "No. I knew it didn't touch my arm.The replays, it's a little bit questionable but I knew it didn't (hit his arm).
