Something must be happening you can't carry on talking forever. There must come a stage when a potential buyer says that's it my best offer and pulls out.
The only people who would like it to carry on are the lawyers/negotiators making a mint.

You seem to have hit the nail on the head, Owl.

I liken it to having a crap. You can't get rid of the shit totally until you have finalised the paperwork and nobody likes to let themselves be seen doing that.

We can get rid of Ashley but only after the paperwork is done. Lawyers love their paperwork. Rats like shit too, so I am told.

I think most people realise he is crucial in any takeover, so as long as we get shot of fatty benitez gets my vote, even though I don't rate him like some do and his football is shocking to watch.

My take on it:

He got rid of a scout who brought us Leon Best, Sol Campbell, Stephen Ireland, Shefki Kuqi, Kadar, Marveaux, Abeid, Obertan, Santon, Anita, Gouffran, Haidara, Amilfitano, Perez, Colback, De Jong, Cabella, Riviere, Ferreyra, Mbiwa, Toney, Thauvin, Saivet and Doumbia.

Got us promoted at the first attempt which was the target. Brighton had a squad that were used to Championship football and had finished in the play offs in three of the four previous seasons. Just ask Villa, Norwich, Sunlan, Hull and Boro how easy it is to adapt from the PL to the Championship,

Benitez averaged 1.3 points per game which would have kept us up if he had been appointed
the same time as Allardyce. That's despite having games away against the then current Champions Leicester as well as Liverpool away and Man City and Spurs at home. We also stopped the rot against the mackems who were pissing all over us under the previous managers.

I can certainly agree his football isn't the best to watch but there wasn't many complaints when we ere pinching games by the odd goal rather than losing by the odd goal as we have done in the last three games.

I can't really judge his signings this year as he just hasn't had the opportunity to sign who he wanted. Like all mangers he'll make mistakes but I just can't see anybody out there any better. The takeover will only happen on the proviso that Benitez is still manager and we wouldn't have this opportunity of ridding ourselves of the fat parasite if Pardew, Carver or Mclaren were still in charge.

Lets not this opportunity pass us by because getting a new owner is the most important thing. If Benitez fails under the new owner he'll get the boot just like any other manager would. But until then we should all be pulling in the same direction.

My take on it:

The scout that bought in the 24 or so names mentioned above did so over 10 years .

The same scout managed to make Mike Ashley a fair bit of coin in those 10 years which was the reason he was employed in the first place.

Rafa has bought in Diame, Sels,Joselu,Lejeune and Manquillo at a cost of 22 odd million in less than 2 years.

I will refrain from mentioning the rest of his very poor purchases as i'm sure his apologists will excuse them as "championship buys"

He got us promoted at the first attempt with a squad that dwarfed the rest of his championship rivals in terms of expense, the same excuse he is now using to deflect his piss poor management to our raficalised support, only this time in reverse.

Using Villa, Norwich, Sunlan, Hull and Boro to point out how difficult it is to adapt from the PL to the Championship only reinforces Ashley's blatant lowering of our expectations.

Benitez might well of averaged 1.3 points per game when he took us down the first time, what's his average now that we are hurtling towards his first/second relegation ?

The theory that Benitez is the catalyst behind the takeover is an interesting one and the statement that we wouldn't have this opportunity of ridding ourselves of the fat parasite if Pardew,Carver or Mclaren were still in charge even more so.

Is there any proof that these claims are correct ?

If Ashley does fuck off it will have being very little to do with us, and very much to do with him.

Anyone who believes Benitez would have had anything to do with fatties potential departure has being raffered.

The call to pull in one direction will only be effective once Ashley, who employed Benitez, is gone,I wish fans would stop separating the two,Rafa working for Ashley is like me working for the IRA.

Too true mate - after 11 years of treading water an ambitious owner would be just the ticket. Hopefully Staveley will get rid of that useless prick Charnley as well.

A bit worried that it's only 13 days to the transfer window opening and nobody appears to have a clue how much money we have to spend. Either Benitez has been told to keep it under wraps or a sale is closer than we think. Of course we could just be sleep walking into another transfer window as per normal.

You cheeky cunt CM coming on here and calling Benitez a spanish waiter at least he’s not a dour scottish cunt like Moyes. I have no doubt that Benitez will do fine if the takeover goes through and he gets some money to spend. I cant understand why Mbemba gets left out and why he sold Krul but i will give him the benefit of the doubt.

The Spanish Waiter is a fraud Mick, he talks the talk but can’t walk the walk, like most of them really. No better or worse than Pardew, Hippo Head etc etc. I hate Moyes more by the way. As you said a dour Scottish cunt.

He is better than Pardew/Fat Sam/Moyes by a mile simply because he's won things but he isn't as good as people think he is. If the takeover happens and he gets the funds for decent players he has no excuses what so ever then.

There was a great reply by one bloke ; he said if I bumped into Keys and a goriila I would shake the gorillas hand and give Keys a banana. Keys is your typical Sky modern day football pundit who has made a living out of a sport he knows fuck all about.
