Could have been Gateshead but it's good to see Rob Lee's kids potentially get a game up here

It brings back memories:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vpoVrwiYQZ0

The clubs have a lot of staff in common, from Supermac, Joe Kinnear, Mick Harford, George Martin, Alan Nielson and more. Alex Gillead was there on loan, John Carver was assistant manager, otherwise known as ass, as was Richard Money whilst KK's 3rd signing was Darren McDonough.

It's an amazing reminder of all those household names.

We also have matching games in a season which we both won 4-0 and took the piss. Kenny Wharton wont forget his part in the return and is still one of the funniest games ive ever been to. Gazza was in his element.

Toony, that's what the link is, the part of the game where the lads took the piss. There was a story behind it, basically what the Luton players did down there earlier in the season.

I remember a 0-2 defeat at home to Luton in the 4th round of the cup back in '73. The Mackems beat Luton in the 6th round 2-0. I forget what happened after that.

Anyone remember that dour fecker Graham Kelly from the FA that used to do the cup draws. Anyone would think he was organising seats in a lifeboat on a sinking ship.
