Man Utd v NUFC
17 November 2017 13:54 Post ID: #484641
Out for us: Lascelles, Merino and Atsu.

Back for them: Pogba, Ibrahimovic and Rojo

Looks a difficult one on paper with them winning all five of their home games and not conceding a goal in the process but there's plenty of incentive.

The pressure is off and at the minimum, becoming the first team to score there would be a hell of a boost for an attack that has been powder puff so far.

With injuries mounting up, sometimes a change can be forced and with less planning for us to know what to do properly, it could mess with their tactical homework. Some players that were either off form or not expected to be picked could then boost their career with a wonder performance.

I personally still see us losing but I think we can score. If I could fathom some sort of random guess then I wonder if Rafa will stick Mbemba in the anchor role tomorrow with Hayden and Shelvey as the head of it?

Packing the midfield with an organised defence will most likely be the plan again.

Can't see us scoring against many sides, let alone one away from home who don't concede.

Best we can hope for I think, is to be organised in the middle and at the back (*there you go, Mick, something to get your teeth into) to keep the score reasonable.

I've gone for 2-0 to Manure.

We have had 145 shots, which is ranked 8th in the league. We have scored 10 of these, this is ranked 14th.

We need to finish better as the chances are there.

I'm hoping optimistically but everything points to a Manure win. This is so obvious to me that I'm going to try and blight the buggers in the only way I know how - I'll stick a tenner on them to win! There. that should guarantee us a point.

Hardley worth betting as you'll only get back around £12.50.

We won't be seeing much of the ball though Toony - stats (so far) don't include playing against a side that has yet to concede at home.

I don't know if he'll play Clark after the Ireland fiasco but I would go with De Yedlin, Clark, Lejeuene and Gamez at the back, Hayden and Mbemba holding in front and Ritchie, Shelvey and Manquillo as the three in midfield with the pace of Gayle up top. That'll bore the fuck out of them.

Similar line up to Vin's for me.
All depends on how the first 20 minutes pan out, they'll be hoyin the kitchen sink at us.
If we can withstand that & get some possession who knows,if they score early we'll end up getting hammered.
I'd be chuffed to bits with a draw & listening to mourinho having a good fkn whine.

Id actually go with Mbemba in the holding role as Rafa said he could do it.

Id go with this.

Elliot (Only because I have to)
Yedlin, Lejeune, Clark, Manquillo
Mbemba
Ritchie, Shelvey, Hayden, Perez
Mitrovic

I'm all for Mitrovic starting - but this is the wrong game to call him in from the cold. Should have been last match.

If he starts this game, Jose will instruct his team to get him a red card.

We really are going to need all 11 on the pitch for this, right until the end - and grafters at that.

For that reason, our current and more experienced option at holding midfield Hayden should also start instead of Mbemba in that position, rather than central.

I'd drop Perez as well, maybe bring him on for the last 20; same for Mitrovic, depending on if things are still tight then.

Elliot
Yedlin, Lejuene, Clark, Manquillo
Hayden
Ritchie, Shelvey, Saivet, Aarons
Gayle

Man u after their outlay and good start to the season are expected to be there or thereabouts come the business end. For me I would pack the midfield be harder to breakdown and hope to suckerpunch them with a counter attack.
My team would be
Elliot
Yedlin Clark Lejunne Manquillo
Mbemba
Ritchie Shelvey Haydon Aaron
Mitro vic

Solidity, workrate, speed and touch of creativity ... If we get the ball

Hope he doesn't behave like a rabbit caught in the headlights today, like when he came on last time out.

It's a free game with absolutely nowt to lose and everything to gain. The message should just be a simple 'show people what you can do'
