But how much will he really lose Finn IF they came straight back up? He is a greedy fucker like you say he likes a gamble. that bird should tell him the deals off, for me they are bang on for one of the 3 relegation slots unless the deal goes through and they can bring in class players.

Surely any new potential owner would want a relegation clause in any deal so if fatty isn't prepared to do that she should tell him to fuck off.

Billy - he doesn't have the squad to compete in this league and barely in the Championship next year (certainly from an automatic top 2 position) and he wouldn't have the manager capable of making a silk purse out of a sow's ear. He's running out of rope. Hypothetical anyway - the club will be sold marra - believe!

Oh yeah they are in that cloud thing. Mrs Finn sorts that. Clicked the chrome link and added to desktop. Back on Google Chrome and seems to have cleared the problem. Thanks mate (as you know I'm not brilliant with these things).

I have little knowledge of finance and therefore cannot understand why Stavely registering a company would have anything to do with us.

I was of the belief that she brokers deals and makes money from commission.

That would be both a literal and metaphorical epiphany

Sorry to bust the balloon started elsewhere, but it could be for any amount of business deals she does, registering a company with a single shareholder, is the way these are setup, in the first instance, its all done online.

As for transferring the cash, or moving the trading name to it, all possible, but lets wait and see first.

What I found encouraging is that she only has one other directorship in the UK. Her partnership in PCP is registered for her Dubai address.

Trying to avoid all speculation if truth be known because whilst all this smoke is going on, NUFC are still being abused by the fat man. His PR people may actually earn their wedge for once.

I have an awful feeling that Jan 6th will just drift serenely by. Fuck all will happen, we will sign no-one of any note. End of the window Ashley will take the club off the market and claim he couldn't get the deal over the line. Same old same old.

I never wanted to be wrong so much.

The fans will grumble a bit but continue to turn out every week and keep Ashleys cash registers rolling. Because you have to support the team you know, not the regime.

It's a given as there's form for it as in this sort of thing has happened about ten times already.

The Shearer managerial 'appointment' Summer after relegation is evidence to far too much noise and absolutely nothing going on, if anyone needs any.

Each deadline will come and go and we'll still be hanging on come 2020. As some have already said, Ashley knows that he can get away with anything and in this case a few tweets on Twatter by people we dont even know are real are controlling the mood. Meanwhile, the January window has only 28 days left.

Im with you Pie ( dont know if its wishful thinking) i reckon the deal is done but they wont announce anything till after the transfer window. I have nothing but a gut feeling to back this up but the fact she is registering a company and also that they havent said the deal is off are good signs. I hope i am right because i woukd like to go back to St James’ park soon.

I know we all speculate but just had a fume after reading the Mirror who quote our experts on the scene from the Chronicle.

I have got this idea of writing an article, 5 things we learn about journalists from the takeover bid. They seem to like their 5 things.

Anyway here goes and comments welcome

1. Non disclosure agreements mean that "sources close to" divulge all sorts of things they shouldn't and invite multi-million pound law suits against themselves and friends.

2, On those sources close to Staveley, given her jet setting lifestyle they do not know when they are close to Staveley. I can claim to have been closer than any journalist covering NUFC since the turn off the A1 to get to her parents' home for Christmas is less than 10 miles from me.

3. No journalist can work out where her new company name comes from, or even speculate. Canter could come from the equine industry, where Staveley made her first first money, or even Cantab which is short for Cambridge University, which she dropped out from. Her childhood home is on the edge of the Vale of York. Non journalists can make better things up.

4. If a deal has been agreed, it can only be in principle and subject to certain validations, one of which is Staveley passing the "fit and proper persons test" another being able to provide proof of funds. The average person just happens to have the odd £250-300m in their handbag. If there is a bloke involved behind the scenes, he might not have his handbag available until the weekend. Journalists don't research.

5. Ashley is out of the country and can not afford access to mobile phones, internet, faxes etc. In fact he is the poorest billionaire on the planet

You could add that they read the various 'message boards' for any info which they may think credible and use it. It has been noticed over the years and it's more than coincidence.
