Couldnt agree more with the above.
After reading the article, there is no way back for the fat lying thief.
He has no intention of selling. He is taking the piss.We cant let it happen again.
Wonder if his Sky mates have anything to say about it.
All it sounds like is he wanted more and threw his toys out of the pram and Sky like the cunts they are as well went for it.I will put money on it that his source was good old Craigy.

For those that cant read it.Make your own mind up who is telling the truth.I know who I believe.

Amanda Staveley: I want to buy Newcastle – it’s hurtful and absurd to call us time-wasters
For the first time, the investor opens up on her efforts to acquire the club
Amanda Staveley has a few things on the go. At her home and office, around the corner from Hyde Park, she is in the midst of eight deals; a casino in Japan, some real estate in New York. People buzz around her, but this is a hands-on process and she is flitting between meetings, fielding calls. Alexander, her three-year-old son, is here, clutching a model aeroplane, and he wants to play. It does not feel as though Staveley has much time to waste.

In the downstairs sitting room, there is a wide-screen television, a coffee table crammed with family photographs. There is a picture of her standing alongside Sir Alex Ferguson and Sir Bobby Charlton, sacrilege for a childhood Liverpool supporter, except that PCP Capital Partners, her company, backs the Manchester United Foundation. Upstairs, in a study, is one of Staveley and David Beckham, although Mehrdad, her husband, keeps hiding that.

This is family and it is business and it is busy, which does not quite tally with the portrayal of Staveley that blundered its way into the public domain this week, as subtle as a sale at Sports Direct, when an anonymous source briefed Sky Sports News that her attempts to buy Newcastle United had “proved to be exhausting, frustrating and a complete waste of time”.

Quote

PCP’S THREE BIDS
£300m, first bid, November 2: £200m on completion. £50m July 1 2018, £50m July 1 2019 — neither paid in the event of relegation. Benítez to stay as manager. Penalty clauses in the event of HMRC fine.
£350m, second bid, November 10: £150m on completion. £50m January 1 2020 £50m January 1 2021 £50m January 1 2022 £50m in the event of qualifying for the Champions League. Benítez to stay as manager. Penalty clauses in the event of relegation and HMRC fine.
£250m, third bid, November 17: £250m payable in full. Benítez to stay as manager. No clauses
These comments were, the club said — again anonymously — reflective of Mike Ashley’s views.

Staveley has been stung by that, irked by the suggestion that her pursuit of Newcastle, which has been very open, was nothing more than an exercise in self-publicity. “It is only right to let the fans know that there is no deal on the table or even under discussion with Amanda Staveley and PCP,” the source said, which was news to her. “I’m very much still interested in buying Newcastle,” she says. “And our bid remains on the table.”

It is the first time that the 44-year-old has spoken publicly about Newcastle since she launched 1,000 headlines and more conspiracy theories by attending their home game against Liverpool on October 1.

There has been a non-disclosure agreement in place with Newcastle since the middle of that month — her initial bid for the club followed on November 2 — but she feels obliged to defend herself.

“I’m very concerned, I’m very surprised and I’m disappointed about what’s been said this week,” Staveley says. She is wearing a pale blue jacket, dark trousers, sipping water from a pink plastic bottle, and coffee from a mug. She is agitated and clearly upset. “The suggestion that we were either wasting time or not serious is absurd. It’s hurtful. Hugely hurtful,” she says.

If she was not serious, why would PCP have made three offers to put Ashley out of his misery after his loveless, contentious 11 years at St James’ Park? Why would she have engaged Chris Mort of Freshfields as her lawyer, a man who worked as Newcastle’s chairman under Ashley? Why would she involve the Reuben family, who have an estimated worth of £13 billion and a significant property portfolio on Tyneside, in her bid? “This is something we’ve been working really hard on,” she says. “It’s not something we’ve just thrown together. I’m putting a lot of my own capital into this and our investors, who come from around the world, include sovereign wealth funds.”

Her first bid was for £300 million, £200 million up front, the rest payable in two chunks. The second, made on Friday, November 10, was for £350 million, payable in instalments, as the sportswear retailer had encouraged. There would be £150 million on completion followed by £50 million every year after that, with the final tranche dependent on achievement, such as reaching the Champions League. For both were penalty clauses, in the event of demotion or Newcastle being stung by HMRC’s tax investigation into the club.

There was a third offer on November 17. “Dear Mike,” it began. In this one, £250 million would be paid in full, no caveats, no conditions, no clauses. This was substantially below Ashley’s £350 million valuation, aside from one sense; Staveley is committed to investing another £200 million, at least £100 million on new players across the first two transfer windows and the same again on improving a tired training ground and ineffective academy.

Ashley and Staveley have only met once, at a curry house.

PCP brokered the deal that saw Sheikh Mansour buy Manchester City. Staveley has also attempted to buy Liverpool, but Newcastle fits, Newcastle works — so much potential, never realised — and she has been courted by supporters. “They’re such passionate fans and it’s a great club,” she says. “I’m a northerner. My family home is an hour away from St James’ Park. I just love football and Newcastle has a proper history and a real magic.

“That passion of the fans is vitally important when you’re looking at a club, because you know that you’re a custodian. I’m also a passionate believer in investment in the north east, because I know it’s tough. A lot of great things are happening in the city — we’ve got friends, like the Reubens, who have invested there — and it’s a really special place, with its own identity. It is absolutely unique.”

PCP is not a charity. “This is an investment, but it has to be a long-term investment,” Staveley says. “Newcastle would be run as a business, but we want it to be a successful, thriving business that is an absolutely integral part of the city.” Equally integral is Rafa Benítez; in each of PCP’s three bids, was a stipulation that the manager must stay and agree to a new contract. “Rafa is doing an incredible job,” Staveley says. “We want Rafa to be part of this project.”

By November 20, it is understood that Mort was confident that a deal might be on at £250 million. At the start of December, Staveley met Ashley at an Indian restaurant in London, brokered by Richard Desmond, the publisher. Pictures appeared in The Sun. “The famous curry house is the only time I’ve met Mike,” Staveley says. “It wasn’t a formal meeting and it was arranged by Mr Desmond. Mike was engaging and interesting. I enjoyed his company.”

And those photographs? Convenient, no? “I would never had done that,” Staveley says. “If I had, I certainly wouldn’t have been pictured smoking. I hadn’t had a cigarette for years. My dad nearly killed me. There has been a lot of miscommunication through the press, but that’s not my fault. This is football.”

In the middle of December, Staveley was told that “another bidder” had emerged, prepared, according to Ashley’s people, to pay £350 million. Fine, PCP said, but come back to us if you want to re-engage. Since then, they have heard nothing. Not a single thing. Which, again, hardly fits with the Ashley-sanctioned notion of “exhaustive” discussions. “Where are the other bidders?” Staveley says. “It’s been for sale for three months.”

Staveley had not given up. When people asked, the official line was that the process was ongoing, although time was ticking on and there were concerns; PCP would not be able to fund Benítez in this transfer window and the team remain in a precarious position. What happens next? A staging post feels like the next Premier League broadcasting rights. And beyond that, whether Newcastle stay up will be pivotal.

In the meantime, supporters continue to wait; for something different, something better. It is the loyal 52,000 who squirm and suffer as Benítez attempts to find gold in a nettle patch. Perhaps Staveley could have been the answer. Perhaps she still can. But it has been a bruising week. Will it happen? “I don’t know,” she says. “I hope so.”

So Staveley is still interested yet the original bid is still on the table which Ashley is not interested in.
Has Staveley upped the bid and concentrating on securing a deals? Not that we can see, nothing has happened in 2 months. Does not sound to me like Staveley is interested, just posturing.
If you are serious you up your bid and put a timeframe on it. If it is not accepted or ignored, you walk away. Sorted

Im guessing the NDA is off now then....

As it is, I wonder if there's any leeway in a public bid of £300m, no clauses but then again, by the sounds of it, it was just yet another attempt at hoodwinking everybody.

At least it clears things up for those of us who didn't believe there really was any offer.

Two things I don't get.

If what Staveley says is true, why doesn't Rafa resign now and come back if/when a bid is accepted.

Staveley confirmed the NDA whilst disclosing everything.

Go on girl, nice to see someone finally calling him out. See if your mates in sky report the truth of the matter rather than a proven liar in courts version, you fat lying piece of s**te. ‘exhausting , frustrating and a complete waste of time’ No mate, you’re getting mixed up with your tenure on Tyneside. I know who I'm inclined to believe here. Great stuff from George that, over to you fatboy although I suspect the silence will be deafening now caught out.

I might be wrong but isnt the NDA in place so she cant mention the accounts etc.Surely it doesnt cover saying anything about a bid or bids.Even the papers mentioned 1 or 2 of them.So it was already out of the window.

PIE, maybe as the NDA seems to be blown out the water as there has been many leaks of this and that from all sorts of sources, she has thought bollocks i am not being painted out to be the bad bugger in all this gloves are off.

As for Rafa, i am only guessing but if he has been a big criteria of all this potential takeover , he must have been kept in the loop. His odd wry smile at press conferences and i may be wrong but i thought he said at one conference maybe we will have good news soon (possibly not long after the curry house pics). Maybe he is still in contact with her and waiting on further developments, just weighing things up.

My reading of it is, where are the other 2 bidders at who have offered £350m, the parasite obviously thought he could pull the wool over her eyes with that one.

Unfortunately, he has met his match, and good on her for exposing another pack of lies.

Sums him up though, cockney market stall owner, trying to hawk the club with bullshit and innuendo.

Surely he deserves what eventually comes to him.

This all looks like positioning as part of a negotiating process for me. Two things I am not sure about. Has the lovely Amanda really got the money and does the fat bastard really want to sell? Not sure about either tbh and perhaps we might never know the truth. I suspect Ashley changes his mind a lot. I used to work for a bloke like that, no attention span but always thought he was 100% right, even when he took a U turn.

The likes of Ryder and co cant be allowed to get off lightly either as they have been played like a fiddle whilst teasing the general public.

Ryder said weeks ago that there was 4 or 5 groups that had signed NDA's with one lot a big surprise. All to get clicks no doubt.

What I would really like to see happen is for Rafa to quit and join forces as part of Amanda's consortium. That could be a game changer and would surely flush out the fat bastards real intentions. But I guess that might cost Rafa a lot of money.

Interesting to see some of the comments for clarity. Yes, she would be putting in her own cash but backed by sovereign wealth funds too. Also some insights as to realistic investment in the fabric of the club. My kids did their 6th form in Ripon and there are really close ties with the Toon. It's good to see that she gets the region.

Let's hope that clearing the air leads to a provisional deal to get some quick investment. If not, maybe she will agree to just pay off the £139m loans from Ashley when we are in the Championship next season.

Armed with the knowledge that there are noises that we could have been taken over and a bid seems genuine, I reckon it's time to call Ashley's bluff publicly by Staveley.

If she knows his asking price then why not reveal it. As we suspect that he is using yet another pawn to get his smokescreen, then a public offer of his price will out him unless it is the rumoured £360m - £400m that has been banded about.

Another thing that bugs me is Ashley can lose a reported £200m plus with his mistake on backing HBOS.

Looking at the share price of his flagship, it is down to £374 from a peak of £922 in April 2014.

With the sort of price being talked about for NUFC, he could buy back 10% of SD or pump it into one of any number of retail companies.

Even if it isn't the price he wants, it makes sense for him to pick up the phone today and tell Staveley the deal is on.

Even if Staveley paid extra to Ashley, say for example another £50m with no clauses but took it off the allotted £200m investment in the training ground/players kitty, I reckon we'd be happy with £150m for that for now.

Owt to get rid and start with a fresh slate again.

Well! Am I late to the party, or what? Thanks Markylad for the paste up. That article is a bombshell, to say the least. The burbling dismissive comment from that lying pile of bloated shite have been well and truly answered. Reading your comments, PK got it bang on when he reversed Fat Bastard's comments back on himself. He must be apoplectic this morning. Hopefully it'll provoke a terminal stroke and rid us all of his filthy presence forever. We can but dream.

She states three separate offers. They are clear. They all involve Benitez. I'm willing to believe they reflect the current value of the club, give or take the obvious need for investment. It all sounds very professionally constructed to me. And, she gets the region. Something the fat, lying slug has never done.

At least it sounds like planning; nothing like that has existed for years at the club. It sounds like she values the supporters and wants the club to grow for the mutual benefit of the business and the fans.

Given any of those offers, Ashley should have gone. It merely serves to prove he is sitting on the club, a disgusting, bloated toad maliciously enjoying his power to fail fans and staff alike.

I am trying to work out how to plan a boycott. Surely it's simply a case of not leaving the house, not getting into the car, not on the Metro.

Maybe I am missing something. To boycott, would a more effective method be to attach a 50m fishing line to the front door handle with the fish hook strategically attached to your scrotum?

Always puzzled me, too, Rex. I have simply refused to line the abusive owner's pockets for years. Hurts a lot less than a fishook.

Anyway, the months of silence seem to be a thing of the past. The Telegraph Sport reporter, Luke Edwards is claiming that the Ashley camp needs Staveley to return with a £300 million offer without clauses 'to prove she is serious' about buying the club. Not that the comment suggests he'd sell at that price. Back to simple barrow boy bartering, then. Oh, he adds a bit of goading too 'not that he believes that will happen'.

What do you think his next tactic will be? Turn of a card? Best of three? Arm-wrestle? Just sell it you twat, and put everybody, including yourself, out of this misery.

Reserve Team Bench
500
Reach the masses...
as I said before could a page be taken out in the local presses bullet pointing his total spends (sure not everyone knows how paltry it actually is ) list all his transgressions etc
Billboards around the city containing same info.... u see these planes hired to pull a banner, could a pamphlet drop with that info happen ? Is it legal etc ?
Mobile billboards that just drive around advertising , utilise them

The more people that see the facts the better.

Gets even stranger as Rafa has said in his press conference that Ashley told him 2 - 3 weeks ago, that the takeover was off.

Chris Waugh of The Chronicle has reported the following :

Rafa on takeover situation: "Mike Ashley told me the takeover (with PCP) would not go through, that was 2-3 weeks ago. But he told me we would work together to try & get players in the transfer window. We have targets & we are trying to progress"

Rafa spoke to Ashley this week: "He has the names & targets & he told me he would try to do something. We are looking to bring in anyone who is good enough to improve us, permanent or loan. It was positive." asked about Lennon, says #NUFC get linked with "a lot of names"

Rafa on outgoings: "No update. At the moment we are in the same situation - nothing going out, nothing coming in..."

That's it for me with Rafa. His status as the new puppet same as the old puppet is complete.

I'm no psychologist (where's Carlos when you need him?) but I reckon RB 'working with' the Fat Man will keep the vast majority hap hap HAPPY.
"If Rafas happy, what's there to moan about?"

Let me get this right.........
The Porcine one told RB 2-3 weeks ago that the take-over was off, but didn't tell him his January transfer budget.
Porky Pig is now working on bringing 'targets' in. Is this the same Porky Pig that clearly stated the other Month that he has f### all to do with the running of NUFC.

I'm confused by it all, you'd almost believe someone was lying.
