If an NDA is in place Toony, you'll get to hear fuck all about fuck all. That's, er, kind of what an NDA is all about 'none-disclosure-agreement', FFS! Whatever is found by the party doing the research, stays private.

Durr!

:y16:

Obviously but I was talking in the case of it all falling through or the terms changing.

If it fell through, as it can, the NDA is particularly relevant. That's the whole point.

There is no need for an NDA, when you actually own something is there? Disclosing confidential information then, would mean you are potentially compromising yourself.

An NDA is so that you do not compromise the other person, while investigating if something is feasible or not, to not put others off, in case it does fall through.

That's the whole point of agreeing it in the first place.

As I said, we may find something out when this is all over as a NDA wont cover everything and especially not if one person is being a twat by moving the goalposts like has happened before allegedly.

You'll hear nowt, if it collapses.

But what you would gain from a collapse, and silence there after, is the potential buyer has found something 'less than good'.

But I'm hoping we hear 2nd half of this week something positive, that the end of the take-over is in sight, just paperwork to finalise.

It depends how it collapses as Ashley being his usual self wont be covered by any legal document.

Those examining the books are simply assessing the worth and future profitability of the club. They'll say nothing because they're bound by the NDA. Ashley could dress up any collapse with whatever he chooses but surely, Ashley just wants the best price he can get? If, as is rumoured, an offer of £300 million comes in, Ashley being Ashley is going to wait for more. It's the brinkmanship he's infamous for.

None disclosure agreements take many forms and I would expect this one to cover the disclosures of both parties including almost certainly the price offered or indeed paid should the sale go ahead. The agreement would also survive at least in part after negotiations are concluded (either positively or negatively) so we will probably never get to know what went on. There will be the usual conjecture in the press and click bait online of course.

Still wrong like. If Staveley is working on a deal for someone and it falls through then she will be asked about it by the media. The NDA will also have had to be agreed on in advance of checks as in what it actually covers.

As yet, until this is sorted either way, we wont know.
