Did anyone actually think it was going ahead? It was as clear as day that it was all about this transfer window and I’m pretty sure plenty on here even suggested something would come up to prevent money being spent well before takeover talks were announced.

Think, probably not. Hope, yes.

I wonder what he will come up with for the next window, its like fucking groundhog day. I feel sorry for those supporters who got there hopes up thinking we were going to get an owner who wanted to win things. I think Ashley knows he can do whatever he wants with no consequences its a shame the Sham army arent around these days to give him a good shoeing.

This has hardly even touched the sides of me being bothered as I expected this but intrigued as to how this is going to pan out as PCP reckon the first they heard it was off was via SKY

It seems that Ashley speaks to Sky more than he does to the most crucial employee in his multi hundred million business.

We all know what the KK tribunal said about him. I might not be alone in thinking Ashley's truthfulness is like constipation and his lies like diarrhoea.

No takeover, no players incoming, no protests, 50k at the next home game.........blah blah

If Benitez has any honour he will walk. (I won't hold my breath) No doubt by some miracle we will stay up, fatty will pocket the tv money and we go around again for another season.

Nothing has changed and not likely to change all the time fatty is about.

Maybe Ashley has had an offer from the other Arab bidders, drop PCP and say they knew the price he was after, only the second bidders reached that figure...

If Benitez has any honour he will walk.

I can see potential dilemma. On the whole, supporters love him. I am sure he loves hearing the support. It is obvious how he has supported Liverpool families over Hillsborough.

It's not such an easy choice. Does he honour the supporters or stick two fingers up to the owner who didn't support and honour him?

The legal battles could keep him out of work for the next 2 years.
