Very true Mick.

Pity loyalty doesn't count in football anymore though,it's not like his Premier winners medal with Chelsea is any better than the the one he got with Leicester.

I know the pay rise he got will be seen as adequate justification but Leicester did offer him 100,000 per week.

He did the right thing for a player with any ambition, there was no way he was ever going to win anything again with Leicester.

He had the chance to move to a club that has consistently challenged for top honours in this country, and occasionally in Europe, for the past 20 years, and there is no sign of that drying up just yet.

Vardy and Mahrez were stupid not to jump ship, they may never be offered those opportunities again, and £100k a week is pretty average for a decent player these days.

Twas ever thus, figures just inflate.

Kante is the player that Cheick Tiote threatened to be for a period of time before the likes of Pardew got hold of him.

I guess this kind of thinking is easy for the fans of man u bayern liverpool and all other successful clubs with large elements of plastic supporters to swallow.

It's no wonder football is going down the toilet, when supporters themselves normalise players jumping ship.

Lucky for Ashley the vast majority of our support has none of that ambition you speak off Neppos.

Not sure why you're bringing supporters into it, this is about a player wanting to achieve the very best he can in his career for himself, and financially, his family.

No different to any other person in any walk of life, nice to see Ashley's name shoehorned in though.

Different circumstances entirely, Kante isn't from Leicester for a start.

Shearer was also joining a team that should have won the league the season before, and as arguably the best forward in Europe if not the world at the time, had every right to think he could make the difference.

Yeah, like you questioned Shearer's loyalty to Blackburn in the summer of 1996.

Your contradiction is wonderful.

Oh dear.

No, I think he was right to further his career by moving to a club where he felt he could better himself.

Just like Kante did.

Come on Pie, keep up

Oh, now he's bringing Man Utd in to it

He also claimed to have turned down Barcelona, so what? That's his choice.

N'Golo Kante moves from a small provincial club who have enjoyed recent success to one of the current so called "big 5" and you question his loyalty.

Alan Shearer does exactly the same 20 years ago (yes, we were considered one of the "big 5" back then) but you wouldn't have questioned his loyalty to his previous club for one second.

How is that not contradictory?

Anyway Pie, work to do, we all know you MUST have the last word so fire away
