If we lose him early season to any sort of significant injury, likely to be his hamstring - we're going straight back down, as our current forward line stands.

In the season before the nearly relegation one, we only had Remy scoring. 14 he got. Next best was Gouffran with 6. Then Cisse and Shola with 2 each.

The midfield did better with Cabaye getting 7. Sissoko and Ben Arfa got 3 each. So the midfield needs to step up.

It's (at least one) top striker we need, as priority.

I'd be in for Jesse Lindgard at Manure.

He's down the pecking order with Lukaku being brought in, will find it hard to come across much first team action this season; and possible future ones.

He has pace, some experience, and is better than what else we've got.

Ideally I'd try to buy him, or, would settle for a loan with option to buy.

*And before people claim 'he's a winger' - so was Thierry Henry.

He was recently quoted as well, as being happy with Lukaku being brought in (he does strengthen their forward line).

But it will severely limit his game time.

Oh well, looks like that one won't be coming either.

Yes, OM you spastic - as a striker. Like what I posted.

*slaps wrist repeatedly.

CF you have changed your tune you weren't saying "we're going straight back down" the other week. you must be getting a twitchy arse knowing fatty wont spend big. my advice is to enjoy being in the premier league and enjoy the odd win they might get, and don't delude yourself in thinking NUFC are any better than the likes of Brighton/Huddersfield, and the rest of the lower ranked clubs in the premier league.

I find it very difficult enjoying the odd win when you're not even attempting to compete with the best, another relegation threatened season, I've seen too many of them and each one has been painful viewing.

My knowledge is good enough, thanks.

And posted on here too; not unposted like all the knicker-wetting retards and butt-fucks in here, merely so they can have a counter-position and then revert to their extremely dull 'Ashley is a cunt' once their argument is soundly beaten.

I'm not sure about arguments being soundly beaten, that's like some daft bastard stating that new players would be arriving like buses once the transfer window was open, I mean imagine being that unknowledgable, you've got to laugh.

But. Kannell. The statement goes 'waiting an age for a bus, then two come at once.'

We signed 3 players, in a day (might have been 2 days).

So, have a wankfest - as I pointed out before - I was 100% correct.

Get back to your sweaty wanksock lad, leave the football to those who know a bit about it.

You're constantly contradicting yourself, one minute we're signing loads of players, next minute we're going down if we lose Gayle, never mind arguing with other posters, you're disagreeing with yourself. I'd pack in this messageboard business if I was you, you're not getting the hang of it.

Its easy. I'll simplify it for you. I've made it plain.

1: I believe Rafa will get the signings he wants - circa 6, 7, or 8*.

2: I fully agree, progress has been (painfully) slow.

3: I refer to * - meaning, we'll have to shift some players too, in order that we have a compliment of just 25 senior players. It may mean Krul, Mitrovic, and other fringe players are to be sold.

4: Without another striker of note, we are almost certain to go down, in my opinion. We're not bad (but not great) in other areas - and I believe focus should be on getting a top notch, or at least proven, goalscorer. Yet focus seems to be on a winger. Does that mean Rafa already has a striker in mind and is sure he's inbound? Or, does it mean he's counting the pennies on 'other' players inbound before he see what sort of cash he has to play with, in order to bring in a striker?

5: More or less as soon as we got into July, we signed a centre-back for first team football ,and a couple of development squad players - we were actually quite active.

6: Not that many other Prem sides have done more business than we have.

7: Yes, it's fucking frustrating waiting, knowing Rafa would prefer players in, early doors.
