As usual, we'll be doing the predictions thread at the start of the season proper.

Aye, and I might update my opinions then. I've got what it takes, to call it now ;-)

I can call it now. There will be no runaway winner with 1st place and 18th being separated by the lowest points difference ever.

I predicted Chelsea last season and unless they replace the outgoing Costa, they will finish 3rd at best.

I thought Citeh would win it last season - but Pep really struggled I felt, in his first season.

I reckon they'll struggle this season as well although will be potentially one of six sides that can realistically win the league. Of those six sides, the top 4 battle will go to the final week and I dont include Everton in it.

I'll take part in the predictions thread nearer the time, but I think things will stay the same as I called already.

Everton will need to replace Lukaku with another top striker, which won't be easy, so 7th again I reckon.

I think Everton will be a marked side and I reckon they'll finish 9th or 10th. Splashing all that cash aside, none of their signings really inspire you. That Davy Klaassen is probably the only player that I would have taken for us but he's quite similar to the Siem De Jong we bought, so may end up like the finished version we have.

Losing Lukaku (and gaining Rooney ) will be a big blow for them.

But they are solid enough.
