Things seem to be coming to life again.

Riviere is said to be close to joining Metz with an announcement allegedly looking likely later. Siem De Jong could be going to Ajax and Dennis Praet and Kenedy could be done within the week.

De Jong is another one of those players that has clear talent as a footballer, but cannot fulfill his primary task - score goals and create lots of chances.

I'd like to see him gone, and should be able to raise a few quid too.

As said earlier, De Jong and Riviere are looking like goners. Also likely to be playing his last match tonight is Lazaar. Dont know if he's just going out on loan though.

The Dennis Praet deal looks like breaking down to me with an alleged £17.5m bid turned down and a release clause of £23m being the price that Sampdoria want. Just cant see our transfer record being broken on an unproven import.

Just got the feeling that this is a Keith Bishop garden path tale that will run until the window's end.

I'm fairly sure we have the funding in place - we're well under budget on 'spend'.

It'll be one out before one in for each deal, as it's ll be the wage bill and size of the squad that is the concern. That'll be the hold-up.

Mike Ashley's not communicating with the people in his employ (ie Rafa) so why Fuckwit feels he has the inside track is anyone's guess .

Siem De Jong looks to be getting sold for as low a price as £1.8m. The wages being freed up of around £50k - £60k a week may be more of interest to the club.

An awful acquisition. Again, probably sanctioned by the club rather than the manager at the time, as he is 'quite a good player'.

Indeed, he is 'quite a good player', but not one with a specific role that fits either in top flight English football, or, when most managers here use a different methodology of positioning than that in Netherlands.

He scored at about 1 goal per 3 games when at Ajax I read, just hasn't happened for him in the last few years. I think it happens for players sometimes when their results are inevitably a product of the other players and chemistry around them at the time. Sum of the parts and all that.

To give what I think is a decent example Enrique had a great reputation as a full back when he was here. But so would anyone when they had Guttierez in front of them who basically played as a full back anyway and ran up and down that line all day. Took him to Liverpool and he never looked as good. Basically because he wasn't when he had to stand on his own two feet without permanent cover.

There's a rumour that Ashley's not a cunt, on second thoughts I'm getting mixed up with the fact that he is a cunt, I'm pissed here like,, but I'm pretty sure the second one's correct.

De Jong has agreed the 4 million deal to return to Ajax . Fucker will probably break his hand lifting the pen to sign the contract .

He was never suited to the PL but should do fine at Ajax as the Dutch league will suit his game more. That 4m will take out net spend this transfer window down to about £2.50.

I was hoping for big things from the bloke .
His performance for Ajax against Man City a few year back was exceptional ... thought we had made a shrewd buy.... sadly it didn't work out for him . Wish him well back in his homeland

Means absolutely nothing in this day and age, especially if he keeps scoring and we win a few more, he'll be sold immediately.

Potential buyers (if it is to be believed) have signed non-disclosure agreements. It's one of those 'won't go away' sagas like administration and the soap dodgers down the road.

I'm convinced he wants out.

He's not having the 'fun' he intended when he bought the club. Bit of a chain around his neck, albeit entirely his own doing.

The club will be more attractive to potential buyers, if doing well in the league and showing it'll be in the Prem next year, too.

Rafa is hanging around, in my opinion, because he knows if they club is bought by someone else, they'll probably invest heavily.

We dont need new owners to invest heavily as just allowing the club to be run to it's potential or an honest level will create enough revenue to compete fairly as it is.

That's why im always sceptical about Ashley wanting to sell because any clued up investor will know that a lot of our income is diverted at present and a £380m asking price is peanuts for the potential of us, a club that was valued at half a billion not too long ago.

I think this is just another smokescreen by the PR department in the long running game of Strike It Lucky. Only difference being that Ashley has replaced Micheal Barrymore.

The key factor, is Ashley is not enjoying it. Owning the club is a pain in the arse, and brings him unwanted attention.

I'm hoping he'll be gone within the season / a year; and I just hope whoever buys the club has better intentions - that is far from certain, as I pointed out to all, especially checheche on here, when the fat cunt bought us from when Freddie was Chairman.

I beg to differ. I think Ashley loves the attention he gets as whether positive or negative, it keeps his tat empire in the news.

One of the cash diversions in the club having to pay his tat company around an average of £1.25m a season for stock will be enough to give him a little spring in his step on a daily basis.

Aside from that, the city needs a boost in him leaving as the negativity has gone on far too long.

I think owning the club now bugs him.

Chinese have stopped the money leaving in such large amounts JT. They are used to taking it in vast quantities from this country.
