For next season at least. Chinese betting company seems to be the favourite.

I noticed some strange Chinese writing on one of the Ad boards during this season for a minute or so and I wouldn't be surprised if that was them although it wouldn't surprise me if it's a company we're already linked with.

To be fair, it's not the worst thing ive seen and you can understand with the big tradition image they are trying to pull off.

Im more concerned with how much cash per season this is as it's been said to be the biggest deal yet and more importantly, is this included in the 'EVERY' penny statement.

I've seen the marketing vid with Moncur and Frank Clark as well, there's a definite change in the way the club are trying to portray themselves. Almost as if trying to appeal to a more traditional values mentality. Keith Bishop's no doubt had a hand in this .

Would have liked it to be back to the blue star. But it's a big improvement on Wonga.

Hope the deal is worth good cash, as was pointed out.

'Fun' has the city in mind, so kind of works for me.

Aye,good riddance to the loan shark scum, anyone who wore one or bought one for their bairns or wore it as a badge of honour have the opportunity to hoy it in the bin or set the fucker alight, dark times.
Super mac has a look of gary glitter on the above pic, corporate stuff.
Let's hope Rafa spends the proceeds of the deal wisely if fatty allows it.

Swapping from one loan shark, to a company that feeds a habit, as bad as any other is hardly an improvement.

Every PL match I have watched, is infested with gambling adverts, wont be long before they go the way of the likes of Wonga etc...

Why we cant get a decent sponsor, is down to the regime in charge, they have tainted it, with their actions and decisions in the past.

Whilst I agree to an extent G, we have to think about where we are and what we can attract. We also have to remember that we were a mid table premier league club when Ashley came in.

Lower to mid table premier league sides have been the choice of gambling sites in the last few years plus Spurs were until recently not to mention the football league is sponsored by one as well. In fact it's probably the biggest group of sponsors in the game here.

In the top league this season, half have gambling sponsors (not including us).

2 have insurance companies (Spurs and Liverpool)
Man Utd by a car company
Chelsea by a rubber manufacturer
2 by plane companies (Man City and Arsenal)
Everton by an alcohol company
Southampton by Virgin Media
Leicester by an airport duty free shop
and Boro by a pawnbrokers.

The fee we are believed to have received will be the main reason for it happening with estimates from £8m a year up to £15m a year. If we progress year on year until this 3 year deal ends not to mention that the club stays away from any scandal then we should have the next tier of sponsors lining up.

Sounds too good to be true because Newcastle and scandal are never too far apart but you never know.

People saw the names, and maybe tried them, fans consumed it, as they thought indirectly they were supporting NUFC. And then the circle closed, as local jobs were safeguarded etc....

Is it racist though?

'Chink' is simply slang for a Chinese person, in the same was a 'Geordie' refers to someone from Newcastle.

It's not derogitory on it's own, surely?

PC gone mad when you can't refer to someone of particular origin anymore.

If you can't spell derogatory I'm not really going to take on board your view of what is derogatory or not .

It's a racist term. Just because you don't think it is doesn't mean it isn't . It's got links to anti Chinese immigration from the early 20th Century. To a Chinese/East Asian person it's the same as calling a black person the N word.

Geordie actually stems originally from an insult by the Scottish Jacobites in the 1745 Rebellion because of the defence of the town of Newcastle against them by supporters of King George (Geordie) II.

So. If I say 'Im going for a Chinkie' or 'I'm going to the Chinkie' - does that mean I'm racist, as well?

You asked the question "is it racist though" ? I've done you a favour and answered and educated you , and you're still not happy. Oh well .

A racist could employ people of different nationalities and still be racist, by your logic people who employed slaves wouldn't be racist "I have six black guys work my fields for pennies i'm not a racist", it's a laughable defence, surely you can see that ? I actually didn't call you a racist, you're suggesting that yourself, I said you used a racist term. Just like I didn't actually call DLG a racist I said he'd made a racist post. Distinctions, subtle but vital. For the record I believe everybody has some sort of prejudice to a certain degree whether they admit it or not ,the key point is allowing reason and logic to overcome them. I'm not trying to make you look a racist you're doing that yourself.

Also "spelling police" ? You can't spell a key word for the point you're making and I'm the guy with the problem ? Really ? Get to fuck .

People can be whoever and whatever they want as far as I'm concerned.

But when it comes to having an attribute to them, be it colour or where they come from or whatever - how does that suddenly become 'offensive'?

Maybe we shouldn't call it 'an Indian restaurant' anymore? And start calling it 'a place where you can eat food of a certain sub-continent persuasion'.

Where does it all start and end.

'Racist! Racist!' some people shout at the drop of a hat. They're pathetic, small-minded, and usually the most backward of all.

All that's coming across (and I'm really not trying to have a go at you but with every post it's like you're trying to dig to fucking Australia or something) is that you have no understanding of the concept of racism or awareness as to when you are saying racist stuff.

Anyone who has a problem with calling an Indian restaurant an Indian restaurant is a fucking idiot. There is no negative connotation to the phrase Indian restaurant. Just like there is no negative connotation to the phrase Chinese Restaurant.

"Chink" as has been used in this thread does have a negative connotation despite your refusal to believe it does and despite it being explained to you in terms a 7 year old could understand. Your big comeback was hey I employ all different nationalities how can I be racist ? When that was explained to you again in terms a 7 year old could understand your big comeback was "whatever". Which means I can't debate you on any level but I can't bear not replying so I have to type something. Then you bleat about where will it all end ? Hopefully in a society that doesn't pre-judge people on the colour of their skin or the country where they're from (crazy lefty idealistic bollocks I know) and then you suggest anyone who calls out racist behavior has a problem which conveniently rules out you as we've already established you don't understand racism or have any awareness of when you are saying racist stuff. DLG is probably hoping you carry on posting as his shit has been almost forgotten .

If I were you Cuckfan I'd stop asking questions I don't want the answer to .

FFS. Again, it's people who are not in a position to make a call, that like to make that call.

And big it up into something it's not by using the word 'IF' to try and justify whatever bollocks they are about to come out with.

IF my aunty had a cock, she'd be my uncle.

IF we won every game next season, we'd be Champions.
