Random quote: Platinii - I would prefer a coffee table at left back instead of Perch. I doubt even a coffee table could lose the ball twice in one move.

Another one gone too young at 44 from a heart attack whilst working for Spurs U23's.

I know it happens to us all but it continues to go to show that it can come at any time. Was a half decent defender that would walk into a side like ours now.

Sad News, always gave 100% of his ability, never hid, just read his last tweet, gave a homeless girl £10, even though she did not ask, some modern footballers could learn lessons here....

Terribly sad, a gentleman by all accounts.

It's a sad loss and all the more when he appeared fit and healthy. It doesn't seem that long ago since he was playing at SJP for Villa and then Boro. Anyone remember a game here with Villa when Uriah Rennie (that useless ref!) sent Shearer off for no apparent reason? I'm sure the footage showed Ehiogu turning away with an expression of disbelief as if to say 'you got that wrong ref'.

Remember that Mc, wasn't Rennie demoted after that?

Rennie's sending off of Shearer was strange. All the more when he has a Masters in Law and is a Magistrate now. Then again......
