Just had a kidney transplant. I knew he was ill but not as bad as this.

Hope he has a quick recovery, as many who saw him can confirm, the finest finisher we have seen for a long time.

A myth that his game improved signing for those twats, he scored tap ins in a great side, with us he scored left foot/right foot/ headers/30 yarders, his goals per game ratio was ridiculous man.

I can still picture his goal against Chelsea when after being put through (probably by Pedro) he lashed it into the top corner in the opening minutes. We won 4-2 if memory serves me. I wonder if the words between him and Keegan when he missed a couple of games was the start of his departure? I wish him a speedy recovery and also a thought for the donor whoever he or she was because without them this and similar operations would not be possible.

Watch the video on nufc.com. This day in 1993 we humped Barnsley 6-0. A team with only one thing in mind, fucking attack, much like when Keegan was a player in 1982-1984. Oh how I yearn for that style of football again. In that game Cole scored three and missed as many. But fuck me he was always in there where it mattered.

He was a joy to watch when he played here. Shame he had to be sold,I would of loved to have seen him and Shearer paired together.Sad to hear this and hope all will be well with Cole The Goal,a name rightly deserved.

He was great to watch but he seemed to change right in front of our eyes like when big money changes certain people.

Temperament was a word banded around, which I didn't really know the true meaning to, many years ago but Cole's was suspect to say the least and I gradually cottoned on. The cracks were forming for a while and took something away from my personal hero worshipping of him.

When he was sold, if Keegan had told us that Ferdinand would be the replacement then most of us would have drove him to Manchester ourselves. Having said that though, he is still the best instinctive striker ive seen play for us.

I still love that pass by Papavasilou at Old Trafford.
