I like the look of that line up, last time I said that we got comfortably beaten.

Yeah, I like the line up as well. Much more offensive. Should be doing it a lot more.

What happened then? Betfair said 2-0, 1-0 an then 0-0. Missed pen?

Apparently gave a pen, Ritchie scored, then called it back and gave a free kick to Burton in their box, seen some cracking reffing in this league.

Oh yes.

Needed to as well - Huddersfield 2-0 up.

Unlikely to be able to catch us, but us failing to score might start jitters.

Stacks of shots, with very few on target if the stats are correct.

Sound like lots of opportunities not taken.

One of the strangest decisions I've ever seen. You score a penalty (a bit dubious from what I saw) and the ref disallows it for encroachment. OK, you retake it. No, the ref gives a free kick to Burton? He (the ref) was in deep discussion with the 4th official for what seemed an eternity but the discision stood. And the additional time at the end of the half was 3 mins.

Ref was just the icing on this shocking league and the decision was even worse than anything Trelford Mills did.

Regardless of there being an unprecedented statement of apology coming out from the official's organisation, the fact that all four of the officials didn't know the rules must surely see them demoted out of the leagues altogether or sacked. It was that bad.

Every other person in the ground knew the rules as well as countless others around the world and there's no excuse.

What made it worse was the utter confusion that reigned all over the place and then the Newcastle coaching staff passing the ref an ipad to look at, although he refused to look.

What should have happened was a retake at the beginning of the 2nd half but it didn't and if we hadn't won that I guarantee that legal action would have followed.

Ok.

Frankly, as we won anyway:

This 'goal' should either be granted to upgrade from a 1-0 win to a 2-0 win, or, be re-taken - even now the game has finished.

4 officials who don't know the rules of the game. So much for professional refereeing. It's got worse not better and since we dropped into this league it's proven how few decent referees there are generally in our country. It didn't cost us last night luckily but it has other matches.

If the game had remained 0-0 the match would have been replayed starting from 29 mins with a penalty. That's the official word. How bizarre ?

Theres a suspicious amount of bad refereeing AGAINST Newcastle in this league, way too much to be coincidental. Still the odd decent referee, but odd this level of decisions AGAINST a team suggests a deliberate act against NUFC.
I mean - top of league, yet among the lowest number of penalties given - I recall the disgusting refereeing v Sheff Wed up here. Gayle hauled down by TWO - one of them had his arms round him - no pen. Happening far too often to be coincidental

Should have been booked for it.

At least 2 Burton players encroached just as much and at same time as Gayle

If half the Toon players hadn't have started to walk off the pitch then there wouldn't even have been the extra 5 minute hold up. That's the shitter thing about it.

The ref thought his decision counted and to just get on with a free kick to them although pandemonium was all around. He only went over to the linesman to try and think of a way out of all the anger.

On reflection, the decision was like a player taking the ball from his own half and scoring a goal with a ref just disallowing it for reasons only he knew.
