He just looks poor to me, never seen him have a consistently good game. Shola was shite but far better than Mitro from what we have seen so far. Poor mans Leon Best. Didn't take Rafa long to work it out.

He's overweight and absolutely shit! Just because he's a "nutcase" who apparently loves the club doesn't detract from the fact he's shit! Doesn't even seem like he'll do much in the Championship, at least utter wastes of space like Shola, Best and dare I say Carroll performed down here.

I must admit I've seen nothing in his play that gives you any confidence he can improve. He's slow, a shit finisher and a ticking time bomb. I think Rafa may try to shift him next summer at the latest. The way he came on against Norwich and immediately got himself booked just screams `knacker'.

I think he has potential, his physicality definitely bothers defences.
Also,he can score goals at international level, and is a far better prospect than Dwight Gayle imo.
If we were to believe the hype regarding the manager and staff currently in charge, then I believe he could come good, but only if he loses that attitude.

That's a canny big if regarding staff and attitude though.....

Nah mate Gayle wipes the floor with Mitrovic and i don't rate Gayle other than a Championship player.

I agree that Gayle looks better than him in that weird defensive 4–2–3–1 system billy.

From a future potential perspective,I think Mitrovic has a chance of being decent, especially if he is paired with another striker plus loses the attitude and weight.

Gayle has his moments but would need to drop another division before he could be considered consistent imo.

I dont think Mitrovic will lose his attitude as all the Serbs seem like that. The other Serbian striker that scored the other day in the same game as him went just as mad on celebrating.

He definitely needs to do something for Newcastle other than look aggressive and pumped up, if he is capable. Scoring a few goals if given the chance would be a start and cutting out the idiot cards another.

Anything over 10m would be a bonus.
