There was a prog on BBC4 tonight about elephants in Burma and how they are 'tamed' to accommodate tourists for the purpose of rides etc. It was truly heart rending. The poor young elephant had been separated from its mother and was beaten into submission with chains and sharp spikes. The scenes were appalling.

Me lad is away on holiday and told his mam he was swimming with dolphins tomorrow bout 60 quid a pop in a pool of some kind.
warned him of the error of his ways in funding such cruelty so he's knocked it on the head.
