Not that I have ever been a prolific poster and I'm certain my input has not been missed in the slightest but, for reasons which may become clear, I'm pleased to be back posting. The wheel of life has a habit of turning and circumstances change accordingly.

For a while the circumstances of Wor Lass and me have foundered. She has been very ill and undergone some fairly drastic treatment, which, I'm delighted to say has resulted in her recovery to her old self - and, if she doesn't mind me saying, her old colour, too. Some treatments take the human body to some unusual places.

Concurrently, I found myself reduced to a mere two working days a week, financial strictures have, along with my good lady's health, rather focussed the mind of late. So my interest in NUFC, or as I feel it should be known, Sports Direct Football Business* has been largely curtailed. You may also be pleased that along with her good health, I have, despite my advanced age, secured full employment for the foreseeable future.

This of course allows me to ask the question, shall I, under the current regime, return to our Cathedral to Footballing Excellence when the new term begins?

And the answer? Will I fook!

* I find it fitting that the acronym for that particular soubriquet would also serve as well for Stupid Drooling Fat B'astard...

Welcome back - pleased to here your wife is back to her full-self - nagging no doubt. It's been a bit quiet on here lately but it's just because everything feels so negative at the minute. No doubt the fat one has got another kick in the bollocks stored away for us.

Oh she is, Vin, I'm delighted to say. But the wheel of life turns, Vin. We just need patience and hope.

Sorry to hear ya lass has been through it Harry but equally good to hear she's on the mend, puts our lives into perspective & what we cherish.
Regarding the shenanigans over at sports direct arena, the fkn circus continues & has little or no relevance.

Welcome back HB and glad your other half is on the mend, your health is your wealth as the saying goes and when you have a scrape with ill health it puts life into perspective i always loved the John Lennon lyric "Life is what happens when your busy making other plans" sums it up for me.

I like your style of prose dude. Welcome back and many wishes of good health for you and her indoors. Life is a cunt as they say but approach it in the right demeanor and it'll pass by without major incident.

It's a conflicting start to the season. A capable coach but the same squad pretty much. No reason to get excited just yet. But maybe... just maybe...

Thanks again, lads. She's doing so well, it'll be her wearing out the walking shoes (cf other post) cos I'm back in the working variety. The dog seems happy either way.

As for the club...

4 mentions on BBC's 'Gossip' does not yet make a good new beginning. Over to you Mr Ashley, ya useless fat B....
