Great to see that we are not pissing about with the goal of top 10 anymore. Our far sighted over reaching goal is now top 8!!

At this rate of improvement we will be looking to win the league, by my maths, by 2043. I will be 73 so there's still a chance.

They must be planning on spending 200 million net then. Around 150 million will see us just above relegation.

Let's see how many players the club lies about being interested in before they go elsewhere, West Ham probably.

I think it's the papers and media that rumour the players we are interested in not the club.
Wait and see, judge on the comings and goings after they have happened not before.

Compared to previous years I'd snap your hand off for a 7th or 8th place.

If the club is serious about changing and rebuilding, it will take some time. The damage that was done since our 5th place season will take time to recover from.

As the team were largely spineless last season, putting a spine in there has to be priority. A big central defender, a hard as nails cunt in midfield and a talisman up front.

A left back and a left winger are needed too.

Also, I would like to see Vuckic finally given a decent run in the side.

Taking Ashley and all the shite out of it, what would you like to see happen on the footballing side Owl?
For me I think what he needs to do is sign two decent centre backs and a left back. Ship out Tiote and make Abeid the main defensive midfielder, bring in at least one quality striker and a better backup keeper. Also a quality winger is required. Only players worth keeping for me are Krul, Janmaat, De Jong, Abeid, Colback, Sissoko, Aarons and Perez. Vuckic also needs to be brought back and given a run. As a decent coach I expect a minimum of this, he starts the season with Ameobi, Obertan, Williamson etc anywhere near that team and we know there’s no change.

PK, we need a minimum of: 1 keeper, 4 defenders, 3 midfielders, 3 or 4 wingers and 3 strikers at bare minimum.

That's going to require at least 150 million net to get anywhere near what we achieved this season. Add another 50 million and it may be mid table.

In fact, we actually need 7 defenders at bare minimum seeing as Santon and Mbiwa haven't been replaced.

I did say minimum I expect from a knowledgeable coach, sadly it's all hypothetical anyway, I just wanted to switch off for a second and talk about the romance and hope of football which we all had when we were kids and imagined a great future for our great club. However I'm middle aged and been through enough lies and deceit with Newcastle to know better, this repulsive parasite has less interest in sticking a decent team on the pitch than McKeag did.
