Quoted as saying he wants to return to his boyhood club, thing is would he be accepted back here, does anyone want him back here.
One things for sure with his injury record he will be a bit hit with the likes of De Jong,Aarons and his old chest thumping adversary Steven Taylor in the treatment room.
If the club had any ambition they wouldn't even give him a thought in my view, they should be looking to invest in the likes of Benteke,Ings and Charlie Adam as a potential strike force, any 2 from them 3 would suffice.

I've not got a problem with him returning, but the price has to be right as fitness is always going to be an issue with a player of his size, like Duncan Ferguson, but he's a beast of a striker when fit and scares the shite out of defenders, similar to Rivière.

IF the club was owned by someone else

and

IF the club had real ambition

and

IF we had the right people in charge hoping to create a winning team

then Andy Carol would never ever get a look in here.

Injury prone and wrong attitude, as it is he would fit right in.

He has a permanent injury which prevents him playing more than around 10 games before he's crocked.

He's loved up in Essex.

If he comes back it means he has to see his kids.

He's not coming back.

A £10 million fee. Wages of a minimum of £60k a week. Over 5 years and including agents fees that's not far short of what we got for him originally, so it's a non-starter.

We will be linked with him without it being denied by the regime because it raises false hope for many and keeps the pressure off.

No way, a walking injury who will have fitness problems for the rest of his career unfortunately.
Would be money down the drain.

Another player on millions a year to perform at best a third of his work per season?

Get fucked.

Carroll will be 'linked' with us forever. Despite his promise his small time attitude and appalling injury record make him a total dud.

Expect the unveiling on Friday.

If he signs, we'll have the strongest treatment room in the Premier League.

It's like Groundhog Day on this board at times. I reckon we would sign him if he's cheap enough. Fatty would love to boast about that one.

When he left he did look like the best young prospect in English football. A fully fit Andy Carroll would be worth c £15m? but his lifestyle and injuries have cost him. He's basically now a great weapon for 15 games a season. So yes from me, provided its £5/6m max.

He's not an Ashley type signing . He's injury prone on high wages and would still command a fee of around 10 million with a fair chance of having little resale value . We also no longer have Kevin Nolan to tuck him in and read him a story .
