I've said this before but we need a systematic campaign like the one Liverpool had against Hicks and Gillette. WE can affect what happens at our club !

Think i'm coming to the end of the line now.. this is the final straw. i will not attend another game until Ashley see's sense or sells up. absolute joke that Kinnear has been given another job at our club.

he says he's in charge of recruiting players & getting rid of them... if thats the case then whats the point in Having Carr? its his job to recruit players. and surely its Pardew's 'job' as manager to get rid of them.

This whole thing stinks from top to bottom, complete fucking joke. Pardew will be sacked by Christmas and that tosser will be back in charge. FUCK OFF.

Look around you in August. Take a look at the fat cunt stuff his face with an Ashley pie while wearing a WANKA shirt. He will probably be drinking a £3.50 bottle of Carling piss supplied by Ashley as well.

Do you really want to line up alongside such specimens and call them Newcastle supporters?

There have been plenty of good ideas for ways in which to protest, but people won't go for it. Too busy beating their chests and telling everyone it's their right" to attend matches.

Blame these people for it as much as Ashley.

As much as I hate to admit it there's a big difference to the Liverpool situation and ours. Ashley owns us lock stock and fucking barrell he isn't beholden to the banks or anyone else.

We could protest untill the cows come home...boycott whatever but if Ashley digs his heels in it will amount to nothing. We're in a unique position in that the owner can do exactly what he wants.

Any protest has to be backed by more than the fans, it would have to have the media squarely behind it. Something that could impact Ashley in such a negative fashion that he'd maybe think fuck it I'm offski.

Thing is the media won't back it....they'll delight in putting us in our place, much like some fans did when they saw that misspelled boycott banner and thought they were to good to associated with the riff raff.

Well every reporter they ban will be on board straight off. Luke Edwards for one.

Any campaign can start small but this anger today can be the catalyst.

I think the media would back us . Look at what's happening to journalists who don't toe the party line. The Liverpool protests did attract new buyers (FSG said as much) as well as influencing the banks .

Aye it's strange we've never been that militant, I remember some rumblings under Mckeag and a few little bits anti Ashley but that's about it.

The key is to get organised. OL talks about the "specimens" as he calls them who still go. But Looking at them objectively, I wonder what the divide is between people who for some reason think ashley is doing a good job, people who hate what he's doing but can't tear themselves away and people who just don't care about the politics. We need to open people's eyes. Some seem to think that as ashley has put us on a firm financial footing that everything he does is good for the club, these individuals know nothing about football. Agree with TNMW, we may start small, but if we make a big enough noise then maybe we can drive the fucker out, or at least draw enough attention to get someone to come in and buy the club

You're spot on Carl there's loads out there who have put the economic stability as the be all and end all (forgetting we owe Ashley 120.00 million)
They think he's doing a fantastic job.

I don't think anyone ever came out and said the regime were worth a shite, just some of us tried to continue to go to watch the team.

it's getting too hard to even do that now.

Yeah that's exactly what my best mate at work says. He used to go in the late 80s and 90s but Dosent go anymore. Still loves ashley though says he stopped us from going under and cleared up shepherds mess. Says we can't just sign players for the sake of it and he has put loads of his own money in. So he won't have a bad word said about him and calls me a mackem when I point out our obvious downfalls and lack of ambition.

There was a time when I'd of been in a full scale argument with any other clubs fans at work who said a bad word about Newcastle. Now I can't help but agree with them

I don't know anyone who is.

Even those that go to the games wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire, although the majority share my view that Dekka is the sneakiest one of the lot.

was even harder for us that started out to begin with.we took no pleasure in the decision whatsoever Toon.
i had 25 year in home and away, but the writing was on the wall as far as i was concerned.
you dont feed a cancer you cut the bastad out simple as.
how do you cut it out?- stop feeding it and we will get our club back and at what level, i couldn't care less,as long as we get it back.

Most Newcastle fans I speak to seem to at least not mind him. My dad and the majority at work included. Never thought I'd see the day when is had enough. Thought I'd have my passion for ever. The days of jumping on trains all over the country to watch us in all sorts of shitholes, sometimes even alone as the thought of missing a match was unbearable. Couldn't see me stopping it. Yet hear I am done and finished just before I'm 25

I think this is a key issue, too many people are pro ashley and seem content to witness dross being served up on the pitch as long as the bank balance look good. My question to them would be, how much did you care about the books before Ashley turned up. I'd wager most of them never gave it a thought. We need to start a campaign, bring those who are decidedly anti-ashley to us, as it grows hopefully we'll convince some of those who are pro ashley (lets be honest if they're pro ashley they can't be that hard to manipulate). Make a point of saying we accept that ashley has put us on a firm financial footing, and then point out all his faults in other areas. The good finances are the entire basis of the pro ashley argument, take that off them and they might actually start to look at the problems with his regime.

There must be a Shite Direct round your area Steeks.

If anywhere can get noticed, it's in London. Start a twitter campaign saying that Ashley is slaughtering ponies to make his gear and post it on all the university twitter accounts.

IF groups are pulling posts then they're clearly in denial. On this forum people might get shouted down, but at least it's using a reasoned arguments. Most of the idiots who back ashley will just delete your post because they don't have a counter argument. As i've already said on another thread, we need to get on these forums en masse and start converting people. If they try and ban us all we can just try and use that to our advantage.
