| Is everyone blind?
Ive watched every highlight, read every match report and have now just watched SSN and the goalmouth scramble come point blank shot which was brilliantly blocked by Mapou Mbiwa (I'll say it again. MBIWA!!!!!!!!! ) has been credited to Jonas Gutierrez.
FFS, he was only about 5 metres away from the ball like, so I can kind of accept mistaken identity.
Apart from the fact that he's not black either. |

| It was M'biwa. |

|
| Playing that defensive midfield role down to a tea was the young man, we are lucky that Pards was tactically astute enough to bring the boy on |

| Jonas stopped the header on the line, then mbiwa threw himself at the ball and player, great block. |

does it matter?
It did to me because Jonas was getting credit for the world class block, when it was all caused by his mistake in the box. |

| Looks like Jonas is set to be the new whipping boy of late |

His form warrants it imo, we tee off on other players for much less, he was totally beaten mentally by that villa bloke last night |

| To be fair, I think his better days are behind him.
However I'm reserving judgement over most of our players until the next few weeks. Most of them have been shocking over the last few months so might as well see how they come out of it once the rot is over.
Jonas looks burnt out and the amount of positions Pardews played him this season he looks a bit lost. Sometimes he's played in 3 positions during the course of the game |

He was my player of the season last year and ive not taken to slagging him off this time round because he hasn't hit the heights in a different set up altogether but he's either lost a yard or is knackered this time round.
Still a good player for us though. Maybe he's confused by the tactics. |

I think that's spot on, I also think he sees himself as a midfielder now and not a winger. |

| Say what you like about Jonas but the fact is that we concede far fewer goals when he is playing than when he is missing.
Obertan Anita and Marveaux have all played decent WITH the ball of late but are all complete fannies without it and are totally shite at defending. |
