turns out BBM worked with my best mate for a good few years, the conversation came up, and it's no surprise that he was perhaps the most friendly well liked characters at his work place.

Just come back from funeral... You could say the lad was popular. Fantastic turnout for him, on what was obviously a very emotional occasion. He threw a curve ball into the ceremony when "You're My star" by Stereophonics was played to the whole church. Hardly a dry eye in the house, including myself.

Nice to see a few TOTT'ers and I know many others from the board sent their wishes too.

RIP BBM, you're most certainly a star.

p.s. It looks like his close friends have already set up a foundation in his name. When we get round to doing something for charity, there's our ready made cause.

Great turnout for him, the foundation is a fitting way to remember him. On a brighter note, me, plats, rexn and PM raised a glass to him and enjoyed an hour hunkered round a fire chatting about football, chips and PM's dodgy women. BBM would have loved to be in the middle of it I reckon. Good to put faces to names, look forward to the next opportunity, chaps.

Glad you got back safe Steeks, and a heroic effort on your part that BBM would undoubtedly be proud of.

It suddenly struck me on the way back, with the fantastic turnout that he had and with everything that went on in his life, how priveleged we are that he spent so much time with us on ToTT.

Thanks, Rexn. Roads were really clear all the way back. It's a great little escape this board, it's so easy to combine an evening on it with other woman friendly tasks.

Glad you have a friendly woman, Steeks.

Aberdeen, you were thought of today. I can't make the ManU game but the others may well. It's Blackburn next for me.

It seems that the consensus is that BBM had made great efforts to bring folk together and that the tradition he started should continue.

He did like a meet up , even met me before Arsenal this season even though he wasn't going just for a beer . Top bloke

Almost missed your post McNamee and it is appreciated. It is nice to think that those who went represented those who could not make it for a whole range of really valid reasons, especially at the end of the year.

Steeks is a total hero having got up before 4am and doing the round trip from London in a day. After that sort of effort he deserves a sicky so that he can do the whole thing again tomorrow for the West brom match.

I second that Steeks. Not many people would have put such an effort in. Top stuff fella.

The only logical explanation Rexn is that he was as insane as the rest of the board!

Insane? Us? Maybe that explains why the people who finally invited us into the pub had white coats and I thought they were chefs.

By the way, typing in these straight jackets is tough.

I wish I had realised. I should have told you about all the different stops that you could make just off the motorway, the A1 or different junctions of the M11. My colleagues think I am mad because I have got used to making them over the years.

I was dreaming of a decent bit of grub as that half cold burger got swallowed, then I got a headache from slurping the milkshake too fast. I got a vision of the barmaids from that pub too, they were feeding me soup and rubbing my shoulders...

Just head for the coffe machine in the romantic back end otherwise known as Steves meeting corner.

Over the next few days we need to work out what to do with the donation fund which stands at £455.
I've noted the tankard ideas & I'll sort that with the engravers. Question is do we push for a little bit more so we can donate £500 to his foundation or something else?

Absolutely shocked by this news. Steeks just filled me in as i havent been on here and browsed properly for months.

Such a tragic situation. BBM seemed like one of the good guys.

Rest in peace mate. Thoughts with the family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him and being his friend.
