Bobert, normally ave the gulf stream overhead in Wigan, where`s it gone?....fuckin taters ere today, not risen above -1 all day,....-6 last neet on me land!

the only way youl'd get the gulf stream overhead Wigan, would be if South America snapped off and sunk into a huge abyss.this in turn causing a northerly tsunami that travelled thousands of miles and bust ya pier.
feckin gulf stream has nothing to do with todays weather,it's a climatical feature that allows the west coast to grow palm trees, and it's under water.
daft lad

How come that northern outpost of Stornoway never gets frost?....feckin gulf stream.......tracks in from t`Atlantic over southern Ireland, then clips in over Chester,Wigan and Southport before headin back out to sea, next landfall,t`Isle of Lewis.

Thats what my jog teacher Miss Arboozika told me anyroad!

a nightmare of mixed charts to work out at present.we have milder air to the west and bitter Siberian air to the east.now where these two systems decide to meet up is anyones guess.
i fancy the Pennine ridge saturdsy through till sunday, brief milder spell then more bitter cold from the east on a sustained wind.

It's not often we have 'freezing rain' and it caused all kinds of problems today. Let's hope we've seen the last of it.

It's been a cracking spell for a while apart from today's cloud but it's gonna be canny for at least another week. Temperatures up to 21 degrees C in the south or more. What's the odds that we'll get a shite spell over the Summer proper.

just uploaded the data log from my weather station.seems it's broken the record March temp 23.7c at 12.38 pm.
looking at the meto pressure charts it will be broken again over the next 72 hrs.then we head back to more seasonal late March early April temps.
