'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Young pups linked

Following the signings of Wes Baheng, James Tozer and Tamas Kadar, it looks like the club is further gathering young prospects as they look to take on Slovakian defender Tomas Hanzel. The 18-yr-old enjoyed a range of tests and training session at Tyneside, and although he has now returned to Spartak Trnava, his agent believes the youngster may return to the North-East after he has matured.

Agent Juraj Venglos told SITA: 'It was more of a test than anything. We knew he would not be moving to Newcastle in January. Tomas did his best, people at the club were satisfied with his commitment and performances. He had a chance to have a closer look at a big club, which was very good for him. He met players like Owen, Emre and Viduka.'

Doubling up comes the news we are close to signing young goalkeeper Ole Soderberg. The 17-year-old currently plies his trade with Hacken but has been strongly linked with a move to The Premier League. Sportbladet reports that the third choice goalkeeper is on his way to Tyneside to KK`s revolution.

no just think keegan only wanted players he's sure about and dont think he's had much to w/ these youth signings, but hey lets keep signing up all the young prospects we can, one of em at least must surely turn out to be good at the senior level.
