KK on Woodgate

Speaking about the Woodgate business that took place over the weekend, Special K was non-plussed by the fuss made over the move, confirming that he believed Woodgate had already agreed his deal with Spurs prior to speaking to him and Newcastle. KK said:

"When I look at the whole thing, I think Jonathan Woodgate made a commitment already. I know Jonathan very well. I think the lad made a promise already, gave his word, and it's to his credit.

We did say at the start unless we could get quality players in that will better us we won't get any in. There's plenty here to work with, there's enough ability in this club to take this club forward and then we've got look for little bits of the jigsaw that'll take us on at a pace.'

He chose the best team. Simple.

Newcastle or London. Yid army or Toon army. Ramos or Keegan. Berbatov or Ameboi. Chance to get a decent hair cut or keep silly mistake cos geordies say he looks cool...Hard choice!
ScottDaYid
Fortunately Woody made right choice....the toon titanic is about to sink big time....COYS!!!!

Good luck keeping him fit. He has one hell of a injury record. At the minute we have Sam Allardyce's team and until we will see Keegans team you cant really judge all he has to do now is get the team playing well. You will see a big change come the summer and shut up the critics, As at the minute Newcastle is a very soft target for abuse and criticism. Our bad luck will change, Then watch us go.

Think you make a fair point davidmillzy. He does have one hell of an injury record. I suspect he's probably bought into the notion of a 'job share' with Ledley King. Even as an ardent Spurs fan, I'm not blinkered as to how things might bear up if he's asked to play twice a week! I wish you well with the 2nd or is it 3rd KK coming. I'm a great admirer of what he achieved as a manager with you the first time around. What do you guys make of Wise's appointment? Think KK will need to get Shearer on board in some capacity asap ... surely the role Wise has taken up would have been better suited to Shearer? I'm led to believe that Woodgate would have signed for you if AS had been at KK's elbow.

Spurs fans - reality check - cramps, shin injury and a knee injury already this season. He's like Samuel L Jackson's character in Unbreakable - made of glass.
BaldEagle
Flogged again by the Gunners, played them twice in a week and couldn't find the net why the hell would Woodgate choose Newcastle?
TergeHauge
Hey Baldy lets do another reality check, two games against Arsenal concede 6 score none. Last six games no wins and only 1 goal scored, last point at home to Derby.
GreenGiant13
GG - no reality check required. None of us expected to get anything out of those two games. The biggie is against the Fiddlers this Sunday.

Yeh we were never going to get anything from Arsenal and i goes to show how far back we are in comparasment. 6 goals in two games is shocking for any team to concede and to be honest out Defence is Sh£te and without scoring goals we will struggle i only hope Owen gets going and Martins when he comes back from Nigeria. I thought Woodgate would come back but i think the chance of playing at wembley and a freash start down south made it easy to choose. Dont agree with the Shearer factor if he was there or not he had promised spurs he'd sign for them. Good luck to the lad.

Big game with Boro, should be a cracker.

I'm glad he chose us. Seems like a good choice to me. Cup final at Wembley, european football, a club that's backed up it's claim to be on the up with 60 million in transfers in 7 months. Of course choosing us was the right decision.
