Despite claims by this site, and others (most notably Auntie Beeb), it looks like Jonathan Woodgate is due to tie up his £7m 60k a week move to Spurs today. Joining him should be Alan Hutton for £9m and possibly Tiago for £9m. Where the fuck are they finding all this cash?
Does the Hutton signing open up the Chimbonda to NUFC avenue again? Interestingly Shearer`s snub to joining as number two is cited as the main reason for missing out on him, with Woodgate`s father admitting this to the Sunday Sun.
Otherwise rumours are thin on the ground. Reports linked us with Giles Barnes on Saturday but nothing materialised in the Sunday red-tops. Today sees us rejecting a move for Eidur Gudjohnsen.
