'If It's Football, It's Vital'

A tale of two strikers

Unsurprisingly goals with matches and King Kev was quick to comment on the two main actors from Saturday`s game. On Michael Owen he said:

'I am sure Michael Owen will be in the England squad. He's fit enough, definitely sharp enough and maybe going to England will give him more opportunities. You don't need to tell me if he gets opportunities that he will score. Michael's always done that.'

Changing tack he was also very quick to complement his team`s destroyer Emmanuel Adebayor, with the Togo terror netting two brilliantly taken goals. He said:

'A year or so ago you would have said he was good, but there is nothing missing from his game now. He has taken over the mantle from Thierry Henry and I would have thought that would be impossible for anyone to do. We had a good first 45 minutes, and we edged a very good Arsenal side, but Adebayor was the difference.'
