Shearer not number 2

A decision was anticipated today over whether the media`s dream ticket of Keegan and Shearer would be reunited as manager and number two at NUFC. In this instance though it looks like Big Al will have to settle for a lesser role in affairs, with Keegan stating:

"We will see what happens on Monday. It will not be as No 2, I will tell you that. It will not be, and that`s the conclusion we both came to. But it will be, if he decides to come in, a very worthwhile role."

Even Shearer can see that he would be joining a failing revolution.
