Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, our former coach and KK`s right hand man Derek Fazackerley has admitted he has not yet been approached by Kev and doesn`t expect to be for a little while yet. He told the paper:
'I have not been offered a job at Newcastle. Kevin is not the sort of bloke to go into a new job and hire and fire immediately. He will let the coaches up there have a crack at things, and will then make his mind up. I haven't spoken to him about a job. What has been written and said is just pure speculation based on our previous working relationships with Newcastle, City and England.
People forget that I didn't work with him at Fulham. In any case, I am very happy at City to have been given the opportunity by Sven to get back out on the training ground and show what I can do, and hopefully he has been pleased with my input.'
