Shearer drifting towards other clubs

Shearer drifting towards other clubs

As usual the rumour mill is rife with various Shearer stories, not least the ones hoping the dream team of Kev and Al won`t get off the ground. Without reading too much into it however, Al has given his clearest hint that his immediate future might not be at NUFC. He said:

"Why would I say that Newcastle will be the only club for me? Yes, they're my club and I love them but it doesn't mean I could never work for anyone else. I couldn't see myself working at a League Two club. But you can never rule anything in or out for good and you can never predict what will happen next in football. This time last week we wouldn't have been discussing Kevin Keegan as Newcastle manager.'

Despite all the clamour for him at NUFC I'd love to see him do what Ince has done with the likes of Macclesfield and MK Dicks. Would Arsenal fans expect Ian Wright to be Wenger's assistant?
