'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Shearer latest

From Barbados to Africa for Alan at the moment, our former number nine is in Uganda doing a piece for Sport Relief for the BBC. However before his departure he managed to set up a tele-conference (posh name for a phone call) with KK for when he gets back. Expect movement on this one by Friday. Al said:

'I've got to ring him (Keegan) when I get back at the end of the week. We didn't get into that. I'll sit down with him at the end of the week and we'll discuss it and see what's best for everyone. He's been that busy. He's gone into the football club, he's got that many staff there, he doesn't know some of their names. He had a huge game, which was far more important than speaking to any individual.

It'll be experience (to work at SJP). Newcastle said they were looking for experience in the first place. They've certainly got that with Kevin. He's been round the block a bit."
