'If It's Football, It's Vital'

King Kev quotes

King Kev said:

'I know what they want and I know what they don't want as well. As long as they are realistic and patient I think we can try again to help them have dreams and possibly win something. I am just as excited this time as I was when I came to play here at 31 and when I came as a manager at 43 or 44. I think this is right, I have certainly inherited a strong, talented group of players - which is something I didn't have when I came last time.

When I came last time we were wondering whether we could fill the stadium. That is not a problem. They will be trying to get a stadium big enough if we can put some football on and get some success here. The job in hand is a big job, it is a great club.'

Always worries me when a manager goes back to a club for a second time, never seems to work out!
will it ever happen
I agree with the poster above. With the big 4 in control of the EPL cant really see Newcastle back at the top again for a while. But with good investment who knows. I really do hope KK does well, he is a honest nice guy.

Yeh i agree its not going to happen over night and major investment in the team is needed. No team in the land can rival Man utd or chelsea as they have major honours and bucked loads of cash but come on if we get a few decent players in january and get the team playing well who knows top six finish this season and keegan had done his job. No one expected Newcastle to run away with 12 point lead in 1996 but we did although Man utd youth team came into effect and out did the Mags at the finishing line. All i do know is the town of Newcastle is absolutely Buzzin with this appointment and i cant wait to give KK the reception he deserves on saturday against bolton i honestly think the roof will come off.
