Admittedly when I first saw the 'Cech for Newcastle` headlines I assumed that for some daft reason Petr was going to ditch his life of luxury at The Bridge and come and rough it with us 'oop North`. However it turns out the Cech in question is a 24 year old Slovakian left sided player currently with Porto.
A £3m deal had been agreed but it looks like Allardyce`s impromptu sacking has put paid to the deal with Wor Pancake Face at Wigan set to sign the player.
