Pancake face on Allardyce`s exit

General managerial jumpship Steve Bruce has also had his opinion aired surrounding the whole Sam Allardyce saga. Knowing him his hat`s probably gone in the ring for the vacant job but here`s what he had to say initially about 'his club` (retch)…

"The one thing we did ask for a long time ago was a little bit of time and that seems to have gone out of the game now. If you look there is eight managers in the Premier League already gone this season out of 20. The statistics from the LMA tell you 50 odd last year, 50 odd this year. Out of 92, 50 per cent seems par for the course but I suppose we all know now what to expect. You have to be instant and you don't get that time anymore which is going to gradually keep putting off the younger managers who want to have a crack at it.

And (they will) think 'well, why should I go and take the Uefa 'B' Licence?' which takes you a couple of years; 'why should I get the 'A' Licence?' which takes you a couple of years; and then you have got to get your Pro Licence on top of that. So it is about five years.

All that hard work and you feel for people who are just trying out now to try and get started because unless you are instant then you have got no chance. Sam proved himself for what a top, top-class manager he is when he's transformed Bolton. How can he become a bad manager in six months?'
