Diarra update

Having revealed our interest in unsettled Arsenal midfielder Lassana Diarra yesterday it has now emerged that we`ve got some serious competition for the player in the shape of Spurs, Everton and Blackburn. The Sun is reporting that a fee of £6m has been slapped on his head which is likely to put us off due to our limited faith in the manager`s transfer acumen.

The word at our place is that Lyon are favourites to sign him. The fact that we have an eye on Benzema and Ben Arfa from there suggest that this is tangible.

I think Arsenal will want some kind of swap deal. wenger does not let good players go lightly. how about Newcastle give Arsenal Nzogbia in return?
