Having already recruited Cacapa (Pride of Ayia Napa) during the summer, rumours from the continent suggest we`ve developed a standing interest in Guimaraes' Brazilian defender Geromel.

The 22-year-old has won is believed to have attracted attention from Bolton and two Russian clubs as well as our own scouting team. Guimaraes are aware of the interest in their player and are believed to have slapped a €4 million (£2.5m) price tag on his head. The player has claimed he would prefer to remain in Portugal until the summer, but given how strapped for cash the Portugeezers generally are they`ll probably bite your hand off for the first bid above £1.5m.
