Martins going for goals

Having bagged himself a hatful last year over the festive period, Oba Martins has promised to sign off with a bang before he heads to Ghana to play in the African Nations Cup. Our top scorer with 7 goals, Oba will be a big miss when he jets south:

"I scored six goals during December last year and remember I was in really good form. We won four games and I scored in each of them, twice against Blackburn and Watford. I am very happy to be playing in the team every week and I know my job is to score goals.

Hopefully, before I leave for the African Cup of Nations, I will add some more to the seven I have already this season. As a team now we are feeling confident after our recent results and we have a chance to pick up some more points over Christmas.

If we pick up the wins we should, we will move up the table because we are not that far away from the teams above us. We have very good players in every position and we know we should be higher than we are.'

Still time yet. I think the last three months after the ACN will be a write off though.

allardyce is playing him on the right wing for some reason. he needs to work on his linkup plays. if given time he will bang goals in left and right but allardyce have not helped me at all.
