Priced out of Castillo move

It was revealed yesterday that consideration had been given to signing Shakhtar Donetsk striker Nery Castillo, who`s now on his way to Eastlands to play for Citeh. The Times says Newcastle were interested in Castillo before his one-year loan move to Manchester City but were not prepared to sanction the estimated £3 million cost of his temporary signing. Given that is over a six month period, most of which is in the great British winter, and you could probably see the club`s reasoning behind it.

Different standard of football though. We'll see - Elano has been pretty impressive.
