'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Pre-window transfer tattle

An interesting mix of targets linked by the nationals today:

• Wes Broon - seems to be getting a lot of interest from ourselves. However Allardyce seems less than certain, citing a lack of brass and the fact the player is still getting a regular run-out at ManYoo as reasons for him not making the move;

• Riggott-Shola swap - seems to have been doing the rounds for a while. Given Martins` departure to the ACN this winter I can`t see it happening. The lanky Fenham Eusebio is also linked with Roeder`s Norwich;

• Diego Placente - more likely. We need a left back, Celta are ready to cancel his contract. Suits both parties. Wigan also interested;

• Wayne Bridge - Tottenham, ourselves and West Ham all mooted for a January move;

• Stefan Mardate - 20yr old Romanian defender linked, £1m bid alleged to already be in;

• Tamas Kadar. - the Hungarian, who was also invited to a trial with Bolton, is a first-team regular and impressed in Newcastle's friendly against Hartlepool. The club hope to strike a deal for about £650,000;

• Jonas Olsson - 24 year old Nimijen defender. Club ready to sell at 'the right offer`;

Brown and Bridge would be top like. Norwich would be right at Shola's level.
