EMO crippled yet again

Unsurprisingly the dominant NUFC headline over the weekend was the fact that England`s Michael Owen managed to cripple himself while away on international duty (again). A torn thigh muscle was the sum total of his involvement with the national side over the course of last week, meaning a good four to six week break stroking fetlocks and measuring pace between jumps.

However despite that he was probably a happy man as his pursuit of Charlton`s 49 goal record was given a pep up with the news that Israel beat Russia and qualification for Euro 2008 was back on the agenda.
