'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Jose enjoys his stay

Speaking ahead of the Reading game this afternoon, left back Jose Enrique was in chipper mood as he bigged up his time so far on Tyneside and promised even more to come when he adapted fully to the rigours of the Premier League. Jose quipped:

"I am enjoying my life at Newcastle - so far my move to the club has been perfect. Now I have played in the team for the last few games and we have picked up two wins against Tottenham and Everton. The team is good and we are winning, so I am really enjoying my life. My fitness is good now and I have got through the last two games with no problems. But the more games I play the better and stronger I will become.

My dream would be to get to the Champions League this season - I really feel this would be a possibility. We can do a good job this season - hopefully we can repeat what I achieved at Villarreal. The dressing room is a happy place at the moment. We are in a good position in the table so far.

The football is different for me, but I can adapt. It is a more physical game here, but there are many good players. In Spain the game is more technical, but so far my adjustment has worked fine. The Premier League and Spanish League have similar tactics and teams want to entertain and win."

Played well on Saturday, was really impressed by the lad. One of the few bright sparks.
