Milner defines his role
Speaking to the Ronnie, Jinky Jimmy Milner was quick to outline his role for the team and his hopes for the rest of the season as he hopes to build on his first goal of the season. The midfielder said:
"I am here to score, but mostly here to create. That is my position, but it is always nice to get on the scoresheet against anybody. Last year all my goals came at once. I did not get one for a while and it was a funny feeling. Then quite a few came at the same time. I want to build on those goals for Newcastle. I did not start scoring until after Christmas last year, so hopefully I can get more early on and kick on from here.
We want to turn it into a fortress and make it a place people do not want to come to. It is only a short run before the next international break. It is important to get some good results before that break. Hopefully, things will be looking good and we can move up towards the top six."
