Gezza: Africa can wait

With the impending African Cup of Nations growing ever nearer, skipper Geremi has spoken of his thoughts ahead of the big tournament and of missing a fair chunk of the season for us:

'I'm used to playing in January at the African Nations Cup - I've been doing that all of my career. I think I'll think more about Ghana nearer the time. ight now, I'm fully focused on my club and putting all of my energy into winning games for Newcastle. We have to be prepared properly for that, and that's what I'll do. For me, I like playing games,' added the 28-year-old.'I love being a footballer, and I want to play all of the time. If it means I play 60 games this season, I'm more than happy to do that. I'd play more if you asked me.'

Out to the right, this guy does not impress me. Not a pacey winger and wasn't exactly compensating with that pin point long pass accuracy he has against spurs. Much better in the centre of the park or the bench imo.

Agree - he didn't do anything to suggest he's a right midfielder in the Solano or Milner mould. I can't see him playing as much once Barton gets back.
