Speaking from his dad`s house in Dunston, Paul Gascoigne joined the line of former Newcastle stars giving Big Sam the accolades following his reasonably successful start to his Newcastle career. Our former Youth Cup legend said:

"The situation looks good at the moment for Newcastle. He has money to spend and he has to spend that wisely to strengthen the good squad here more than anything else. It isn`t like we need a player for this position or that position we just need to get a good squad to back up what we have."
