With a second scan due on his pesky troublesome groin Michael Owen remains the media`s main NUFC fixation as they count the minutes until the crucial Russia away game coming up in the Euro qualifiers. Big Sam sounded in cautious note as he spoke about it:

I am worried he asked to come off. If Michael needs an operation, he will have it straight away. Even though the first scan was clear, there is a persistent area that is causing him a problem. We will scan it again, get a specialist opinion and see where we go from there.'
